It seems Holiday World has always operated with the attitude of quality over quantity. They've taken time to expand, but every single ride there is the best version of that ride possible. Even the old-school midway rides like the Scrambler are top-notch.
Best night rides ever were Holiwood Nights 2009 when ERT followed a thunderstorm. The tracks were still wet. The lightning was just far enough away to open the rides, but it was still going off like strobe lights during every ride. Voyage was fast and amazing in the flashing lights with the wet track.
Raven and Legend are amazing at night, but my son and I had the opportunity to attend Holiwood Nights a couple years ago... Voyage at night is the most insane coaster experience ever. We got off and just looked at each other, like "what just happened?!"
I've never been to Holiday World, but it seems like the family who owns the park puts so much love into it. It may not have the crazy budget for theming and a huge collection of rides, but I think every park could learn something or two from this little one.
You guys are the best. So glad I discovered this channel when I stumbled upon your recent Europe playlist. Your Ride to Happiness video (and Sarah's reaction) convinced me to take a detour to Plopsaland on my way to visit friends in Italy this August. Keep up the good work, and more theme park VLOG content pretty-plz!
I went to holiday world recently and I managed to get 2 night rides on the voyage and 1 on the raven and legend. The night ride experience on the voyage was so amazingly breathtaking and the legend ran smoothly and it felt faster than before and raven of course always awesome. And it wasn’t a full moon so that made the experience even more awesome.
Holiday World just announced that Raging Rapids will be closing too. That would be a great spot for a family coaster. The old Pilgrims Plung spot is code named Project: Gravy Boat
Holiday World is such a fun park! Adding a family coaster or a Hyper would be epic! I haven’t seen the Drone Fireworks show, but it looks incredible. The mascot is Holidog.
if you go on the last saturday of october you can also get night rides on voyage thunderbird the legend and raven for almost no wait so you can just stay on the ride
SFFT also did the drones during Roller Coaster Rodeo. They handing out water and soda in a couple different air conditioned vip spots. ERT there was awesome as well
I just found out that they got rid of Raging Rapids. I’m a little bummed about it, but I definitely hope they open whatever new ride they are working on sooner rather than later. Aside from that, this was my first Holiwood nights and it is truly the best theme park event I have ever been to in my entire life bar none. Looking forward to this again next year for sure!!
Last September I was at holiday world, and my friend and I both greyed out on thunderbird. The only other coaster that’s happened to me is the batman inverts. Crazy that a wing coaster can be that intense
I didnt go to Holiwood Nights this year, but had a blast during Coastermania at Cedar Point. I got some great night rides on Millennium Force, Magnum and Steel Vengeance. Steel Vengeance's night rides were off the charts, had four trimless night rides and the second half was running faster than during the day. Definitely recommend going to Coastermania, just wish it wasn't on the same day as Holiwood Nights.
I got to ride Diamondback the other night during Kings Island's drone show and it was super cool! Missed the Holiday World drone show by a few days tho :(
Holiday world is my home park. Had season passes from like 98 to 2014. They just retired raging rapids. Wondering what they'll do there. And that ugly mess leftover from pilgrim's plunge. How to build definitely needs another roller coaster ASAP
Here is a night ride story for you , 5 years after The Beast was made the park manager and I were in the front row together and I said has a deer ever jumped the tracks then we held on to each other the entire time lol because he said I don't want to die by deer lol.
Not necessarily Holiday Park related; however, this is related to seeing the drone show from the coaster. Went to Disney World last month and rode back to back to back rides on Big Thunder Mountain towards the end of the night and was able to catch the fireworks show and finale from the second lift hill. It was an amazing experience to see and to get my 7 year old daughter into rollercoasters during the trip. Unfortunately we don't have a park very close to us.
I don’t know if u guys take video request but I think a great video would be to rank your top 15 areas/ themed lands but not for the theming but for the rides in it
Honestly sometimes feel like Voyage is the subject of group think because everybody I've ever ridden it with directly has not liked it, including myself, but somehow it is beloved by the entire coaster community. I would go as far as saying it is one of my least favorite wooden coasters, and everybody else I've been to the park with has similar sentiments, however every video I watch talking about it treats it like the king of wooden coasters.
And now they are getting a Vekoma Family Boomerang!
They have said on the podcast they don’t like boomerangs for their poor capacity but I do see them getting a launched vekoma family coaster
@@billsskiefc the permits have already been released. It's a family boomerang
Boomeranngggg hopefully a custom layout
@@TheCycloneHuntera Boomerang?! Who buys a Boomerang these days?!
@@SlackerWannaB Energylandia actually
Voyage is running a lot better. The back row ride was the best ever. Insane actually. Definitely a back row ride.

That sounds like as if the song Raining Blood by Slayer was a roller coaster experience! Epic!
Drone Show was so great last year! Looking forward to seeing this year’s.
And Voyage night rides rock!
Love the good gravy leak in the drone show!
I remember being a kid at Disneyland and being on splash mountain during the fireworks and it was amazing.
‘Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me!!’
And of course, ‘Peaches!!’
I seriously love waterparks. It'd be great if they were featured more on the channel. I understand it's probably a bit harder to get footage though.
@1:38 Also, I think something just bit my butt, ahhhherrggh! Thank you Sarah, I laughed out loud.
I literally love the voyage, the airtime and intensity made it my number 1 favorite coaster!
5:47 everyones like "ohhh" because of how good that shot is! great vlog yall!
Went for the first time this year. I'm even in this vid haha. What an incredible experience, can't wait to go back.
Ha 9:53 "...really important to hydrate!" - skips over water and goes right for DrP😂
More water park vlogs! Nice change of pace.

That transition shot at 2:42 * _chef's kiss_ * great ride footage all around!
"I'm a fruity pie guy!" 🤣that statement on it's own is hilarious but it's even funnier when you know that pumpkin is technically a fruit.

11:03 Phewy! Look how crooked that track is hahaha That used to be a straight line. And now it's just all over the place.
Thunderbird is the best wing coaster!! So good
Demon drop is a cred
Voyage ride ops are the Best!
I wish I was just like you guys, so much fun!
Who agrees: This park NEEDS a gravity group family coaster
Voyage is legendary as always!
Man, that looks like fun.

I've been trying to go to Holliwood nights for 2 years now. Hopefully third time is the charm and next year I actually get tickets.
Holiday World needs more steel coasters.
Glad to se some of the old ovc crew
So Jelous, getting Voyage withdrawals...

Roller coaster Woodstock.
Really need to make it here one time.
I really need a night ride on Voyage

is Voyage the Best terrain coaster ?
You meant my friend.Arrow Looper there!
pumpkin is a fruit bro and honestly you could put cinnamon sugar and nutmeg on pretty much anything and I'd eat it.
If demon drop isn’t a credit then neither is top thrill, you go up then you go down (this is purely a joke btw)
I can’t say about the Old PP area, but Maybe not a B and M, but it’s going to be cool.
Sand Serpent at Busch Gardens Tampa is Closing
Am I the only one thinking straddle coaster like reindeer Santa sled come on?
I don’t want to sound dumb but I thought you guys were gonna be out of the country during Holiwood Nights.

Do you have to be part of a coaster club to attend?
That, or a guest of someone in a coaster club
Make a modern review for Kings Island pls!

Water park used to be better, had another lazy river & another wave pool
