What stood out to me most throughout this interview was the amount of respect he showed Klopp. It was a very smart decision on his part.

God, seeing the reflection on arne's shiny bald head made me realise i'm going to miss him terribly here at feyenoord. That shiny head will give you joy in all weather circumstances when tensions on the pitch are rising haha.

Arne Slot will work magic on the young talents at Liverpool. That's what he does. You'll see what I mean when players like Hancko and Geertruida make their inevitable transfers to the Premier League. The man was a miracle worker for us at Feyenoord. Ex-Feyenoord players Dirk Kuyt and Gini Wijnaldum gave their all to the Reds. Arne will go above and beyond.
*Just a quick pronunciation tip: the "gh" at the end of Gravenbergh is a hard G like Get or Gone

For the first season as long as Arnie slot keeps us competitive in all competitions were in and makes sure we get Champions League football for the following season without struggling, plus playing a positive form of football then as a first season for a new manager inheriting this team it would be fairly acceptable

I hope theres no pressure on slot to play nunez by anyone when hes inevitably still ballooning shots from 5 yards out come christmas. As for the interview, it was full of platitudes that all players and managers give in interviews
not as inspiring as Klopp’s first interview
When Klopp did his interview, the club was nowhere near where it is now.. there was no need to be as inspiring in comparison. Do you think fans constantly need a pep talk to keep believing in the club??? Just let the man be himself.. everyone comparing him to Klopp is annoying.
He will be on borrowed time unless he does well, no charisma at all. Also inherits a trophy winning team who got 82 points last season so no excuses, he needs to start well and keep doing well.

I just hope our love for Klopp doesn't blind us to Arne Slot's qualities and we haven't been alpha widowed and suddenly no one else can do it for us anymore, then the job DOES become a poisoned chalice.
P. S: A lot of the things that we said about Klopp are the same things the Feyenoord fans said about Slot.
He may not be chest thumping charismatic with sound bites in every sentence (In all our history we've had only two and some clubs are even lucky to get one) but he does know how to lead and he has some idea of what is required.
As for getting the city and the fans, Rafa was colder than this and he still found his way into Liverpudlian hearts. I'm sure this bald, smiling Dutchman can too😂.Trust me, he wants to be on our good side.
