You may missed a massive part. His father passing away. I've read plenty of times that this event helped start tigers spiral. In an effort to make some sort of connection with his father after passing he put himself through marine training. And that was the thing that started his injury problems and so it began. Don't know how true it is.

2008-2010 Lakers would be a good one for collapse. They made the finals 3 times and won twice, and then Kobe watched the team around him fall apart until he finally retired after they went 17-65 in 2015-16. Their team win percentage declined for 5 straight years and they've missed the playoffs 6 straight years now. If that's not collapse material, I don't know what is.

@@winstonsmith11 Are you joking? Mike Tyson was the biggest sham in sports history. His career is as close to Rocky 3 as you can get. His ENTIRE 80s career was Rocky 3 style set ups. Against has beens or never wases. He ducked #1 contender Holyfield for TWO YEARS before losing to Douglas. So long that had he not fought Holyfield after Douglas, he was going to get stripped of every title. In fact, that is why the Douglas fight was in Japan. No American venue wanted anything to do with it. They basically said "The only fight we will host of Tyson is against Holyfield. And again, just like Clubber Lang in Rocky 3, Holyfield used to buy front row tickets to Tyson fights to try to taunt Tyson into accepting his challenge. Even offering a Winner Take All fight that would have given TRIPLED Tyson's biggest payday until then had he won. But of course, Tyson KNEW he would lose and lose badly (as he did 7 years later) so he refused. That is the only difference between Tyson and Rocky. Don King had a better grip on Tyson than Mickey had on Ricky.
His 90s career was an even BIGGER joke. (And this is at just age 24!) He literally looked like a lost child had wandered into the ring and was lost in ANY fight agsanst a known boxer. And even some that weren't known at all. He didn't beat a single opponent that later went on to defeat ANY champion. Not one. Two or three won a vacant lower level title after their loss to Title. But none defeated a champion.
The comparison to Tiger would have been if we later realize that every tournament Tiger won in the 90s and early/mid 00s was actually made up of players from the Nike tour and Seniors Tour.

Great video, my only criticism is that there should have been more explanation to how great Tiger was. He was unstoppable in his prime, in 1997 he broke all barriers and became the face of golf. He was also black/asain, and brought so many new eyes to the sport because of him and his electricity. He was a spectacle and the media watched his every move, lauded and criticized everything he did. His swing changes all 5 of them have yielded championships. You could have talked about how butch Harmon and him crafted the greatest swing ever where he radled off 8 majors in 3 years. He had another hiatus from the majors until 2005 because he changed his swing again. That masters victory signalled a call back to his dominance. He then won another 5 in 3 years. I know these videos take an enumerable amount of time so I get it, I just feel like some stuff was missing. But I loved the video anyway. And I love this channel. So I subscribed!

Jack Nicklaus finished first in a major golf tournament 18 times, Second place an astonishing 19 times, third 9 times. This is unparalleled, and came against the likes of Arnold Palmer Gary Player Tom Watson Sam Snead Billy Casper and others. He has said on a number of occasions, if he’d known someone later would be chasing his record he would have tried to win more, and I have no doubt that he could have. Jack has not received near the attention he deserves, because of these accomplishments.

I feel like the only people that cared were old people that pick up those tabloids in stores, and the media. I'm not excusing cheating at all, but at the same time that should be between the respective people involved.

A "little"redemption? Probably one of the greatest comebacks in history man, take a look at the factors. When he dropped off he had inspired a new generation of players in his image. By the time he came back in 2018 he was old and his main competitors were younger, could hit it further and had applied all the things the learned from watching thier hero growing up. So, to then beat them in the Masters, literally a tournament in spring the season of rebirth....I mean its poetic.
