    Refreshingly honest! I have a lot of fun ( and sometimes excitement stress!) searching for award flights and usually get a great deal, but not always. It can take a lot of time- even knowing all of the tools, etc. Thank you for being real and putting things into perspective!

    Appreciate the transparency in this video. Very refreshing! It also proves the adage that it takes money to make money. Yes, a lot of the spend is business related but there's nothing wrong with that. You have a business, u work hard, u earn points in that process. All good. As long as people scale their expectations then its a win-win. Unfortunately, most people arent multi-millionaires with businesses that have a lot of spend so for the masses, expecting to rack up millions of points annually is unrealistic. Being opportunistic and creative will help as well as being realistic. Note: its property tax time by me...do you know someone that would allow u to put their property tax payment on your card to meet a minimum spend sign up bonus? Id gladly take the 2% fee hit to earn 75,000 pts!

      thank you! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it and found it valuable! Points definitely come easier if a lot of the other financial foundations are already set!
      It definitely didn't start that way with a business, and in a way, I'm a little glad I didn't get distract by this world of social media when I was still taking actuarial exams.

    Financial foundation is key! I tell my friends you have to more discipline than the credit card companies.
    Rule #1 always pay all your credit cards in full

    This is one of the best videos I have seen. Well done! I am curious which credit cards you use for your charitable contributions.

    • @geobreezetravel
      @geobreezetravel  Месяц назад

      glad you enjoyed it! It usually depends for the charity contributions, I used to do a contribution on BILT rent day to earn BILT double points, but they've now capped how many you can earn. At the end of the year, I'll check how many points short I am from renewing my AA EP status and put that much on my AA card. If I were short on Hyatt nights, I'd do the same to renew Hyatt status. I'll probably put $3k on the 2 Chase Freedom Flex cards to max out the 5x PayPal category. The rest will either be a new card or something like Capital One to earn 2x.

    Wow, this was SO HONEST. Thank you. I really appreciate your transparency. I don't churn cards either--this is way more my style. People need to prioritize TRUE financial health instead of always chasing the next card. I admit I'm a worrywart, but it would give me so much anxiety lol. I'd love to see a video on booking through a Hyatt prive agent such as Fora. I don't have status so am thinking of trying it to get some perks like upgrades and breakfast etc.

    great video, I have been a patreon member for a few months and you have saved me a lot of money. Your channel was a good investment for me. I totally agree with your insight. I can afford a 5K ticket, but why when I don’t have to. I tend to slow travel so hotes are not my thing..flights are

    Interesting. Apparently, I’ve been using your trip booking technique (seems I need to be somewhere at a specific date~ish); however, lucky to get 2 cpp.

    • @geobreezetravel
      @geobreezetravel  Месяц назад

      specific dates can make it tough, but if you're flexible with positioning flights, destinations, etc., 3+ cpp is within your reach!

    I have 310 K stuck in Avios from a trip that got canceled
    The problem is trying to use those points, the taxes are outrageous. any time I've tried to get to Europe in any of those partners it's either crazy hours in travel or over $700 in taxes So I don't know what to do with them.

    • @geobreezetravel
      @geobreezetravel  Месяц назад

      it might be better to use them for regions outside of Europe (or at least, avoiding England). Here's a video with other options on how to use Avios

    • @geobreezetravel

    Earning points while donating to charities? How that works?

    • @geobreezetravel
      @geobreezetravel  29 дней назад

      I donate via credit card and earn the points that way. Often times, I'll try to batch donations as well so I can get a new credit card sign up bonus from the donations too.

    What do you mean by “low key financial crimes”?

    • @geobreezetravel
      @geobreezetravel  Месяц назад +2

      anything that looks like it would be something that money laundering people might do (but for the purposes of earning points instead of money laundering). For example, making a bunch of purchases through a fake business and getting the refunds back into a different account.

  • @weedermann
    @weedermann Месяц назад

    "Yes, a lot of the spend is business related but there's nothing wrong with that."
    There is EVERYTHING wrong with it. Just MORE top-heavy catering to the rich. There is no social/economic balance to enjoying some travel comforts unless a person is socially connected or enormously wealthy.
    How can the rich NOT be arrogant when EVERY human action toward them is an indulgence?

    • @geobreezetravel
      @geobreezetravel  22 дня назад +1

      Are you saying that luxury first class and business class flight cabins should be regulated for more social/ economic balance? It seems like luxury travel is one of the most nice-to-have purchases imaginable, and shouldn't be a required expense for anyone who can't afford it, and this video says that it's ok to opt out and be honest if it's not in your budget. We're not talking about accessibility to cancer medicine here.
      But I do think that some aspiring content creator out there is going to see your randomly capitalized words and think, "this is why I don't want to be transparent with my finances online." and thus continues the cycle of people getting gaslighted thinking they should be able to get $50K on luxury travel for free without even having $5000 first.

      If you are interested, there are many channels out there where the focus is ruminating on their struggles rather than solutions. The RUclips search bar can help you find what you're looking for.
