I’ve always loved her balance beam routines. Full of unique skills and confidence on every move. Everything she does is big and beautiful. I’m a fan. ☺️

Ooh - great routine! Thanks for posting. I really like the full body suit (is that what it's called?) - it really emphasizes the lines.
@@kaioemanuel1939 I think Germany was the country that said they wanted to wear a uni instead of the outfit with their butt hanging out. I have to agree.
Yes, I love these! They're called unitards, I think they look beautiful! I imagine that I would feel way more comfortable in a unitard than a leotard, not having to worry about my butt cheeks showing 😳
I am from Germany and I love them as well, I think they are so elegant :) I also read that it's completely up to the individual gymnast to choose which leotard they want to wear, I love it because that's what it's all about and I am proud to be German for once because they really put out a statement there! :) I think they will go for unitards for the team competition though, they did the same for the Olympics ;)
0:51 So that's the Schaefer. 😍 Didn't know that existed until now; It's so elegant! A regular side somi is not elegant, IMO. Edit: Found some more examples... Some viewing angles are more elegant than others, but it's still a really cool skill.
I love the unitard, it is so much more adequate. I always thought that if I was dad of a gymnast I would be so uncomfortable to see my child in a leotard splitting and flipping in front of a crowd.
I don't think so sorry. I don't see who is a problème. It's a sport and the normal peopel look only the beauty of mouvement and no the body of the gymnast. I don't like this unitard
@@joym1463 ok then don’t wear it if you don’t like it lol. Do you even know how uncomfortable it is to basically do the splits in underwear but 100 times more than a split? Gtfoh And regardless, everyone should be able to wear whatever they want unitard or leotard
Disgusting. It's not about what men think, it's about what women find comfortable. Many prefer the regular leotard. The German women decided to use unitards this year, because they liked them.
@@rebeccasilver2181 exactly! But that’s the thing- everyone should be allowed to wear what they want not make it necessary to wear Leos. I’m Indian and my parents wouldn’t even let me swim or even go to one gymnastics class because of how “revealing” the clothes are. My father beat me because I wore a tight shirt once. I’m just saying - the fact that Leos are just supposed to be magically universally okay and cool is not okay. Btw after the abuse scandals and the fact that abusers in general thrive in these environments (access to kids, license to touch etc) i don’t know if I’d be comfortable with my daughter wearing them. Now to conclude, I LOVE the way leos look, I love gymnastics, WORSHIP these women as they are badass athletes that need a lot of kinds of athleticism to be successful and the fact they train more than I work in a week at my job. HOWEVER they should not be mandatory, or pressured to be worn. If someone likes them, yes why not!? They look amazing. But if someone is uncomfortable/cannot wear them for any reason - it should be normalized to not.
@@manifestinggodess9500 that's horrible 🙁 but the point is that it should be how the *gymnast* feels, not what other people think. Many people aren't comfortable in a regular leotard, so it's good to see high level athletes wearing them. (For the record, they've always been allowed, but nobody wore them so it wasn't seen as an option on the lower levels.) Now, will more parents put their kids in gymnastics if unitards are common? Probably, especially in more conservative countries. But it feels icky when people say "I wouldn't want my daughter doing gymnastics in a leotard because it's too revealing," because ew, stop sexualizing kids. It should be about the individual's preference, not someone else's comfort.
I'm loving your grace Germany! I'm still trying to get used to the body suits. It looks kinda slippery for certain skills. For women.....I'd rather see a nice leotard with spandex shorts at the bottom. I personally like to see knees and ankles while watching gymnastics. I never liked men's stirrup pants for that specific reason. I've always wanted to see men perform on rings and pommels with their tumbling shorts on. Anyways just my two cents opinion :)
I don't like the bodysuit it looks like she's at practice rather than competition however she's a beautiful gymnast and he phenomenal performer She's exquisite at the bim
She had a big issue with tumbling backwards. Thats why she tumbles a double Front on floor and at the olympics she did a forward combination on beam (which did not went well).
Thank you for posting this! I love how Pauline works on her toes and extends her lines. She's a beautiful gymnast. Also absolutely love the bodysuit
I really want her to repeat her post-Olympics beam title! Her execution on skills and her lines are gorgeous!
she has the potencial. Let's see...
Good news! She won silver behind Ashikawa

they call it a unitard

I agree!! It’s much more flattering.

@@nicolekennedy6841 Totally!
Her original skill should be an F at the minimum FIG sucks
Right?? No way it's the same value as a piked front
Absolutely agree
I really can't believe it's only an E. The FIG has made some horrible decisions on difficulty, but this is one of the most egregious.
I never tire of Pauline🥰
Amazing! I love that Germany is sticking with unitards

Her routine is so fun to watch. Lots of creativity and skill.
Always love to watch her perform that skill. So cool and unique!

So nice to always see creativity and variety
She deserves a medal just for that skill
So impressive in that unitard
Wonderful, it rocked!
I have slowly and irreversibly become a fan😍
I saw a gif of her big skill and couldn't fully believe it was real, amazing to watch a video with it now

WoW!!! Never seen that skill before what's it called??😍
Schäfer salto
Beautiful all around. That suit its gorgeous
One of my favorites
I also notice the sharp hands. Looks better overall
Very great
I don't know why but the leotard is throwing me off.
Good and interesting routine but the dismount
I miss old school gymnastics
Love the routine. Im not a fan of the full body leotard does nothing. For the lines an elegant look of the body .but thats just me lol

Her dismount is so basic
it looks really basic, but its actually a c skill if im not wrong, same as a double twist dismount. but i agree, i think she could afford to upgade it
@@deborahlim9497
If it is a c but she can do a dismount with connection
Bhs, bhs d twist
She had a big issue with tumbling backwards. Thats why she tumbles a double Front on floor and at the olympics she did a forward combination on beam (which did not went well).
better do a C skill and stuck it rather then a D skill where you get 0.5 deductions (like kayla’s double tucked)
