Wrong Turn in Seattle ( Zombie Land ) 🇺🇸

- I visited Pike Market in Seattle to try out all the foods in the market. Shortly after I took a stroll a few blocks down on Pike street and 3rd when I encountered countless homeless people on the streets consuming various substances. Some even with their children right next to them while inhaling toxic fumes. Police in the area do nothing about the situation while locals living there just walk through the downtown streets like nothing is happening.

boycott Starbucks for its pro-Israel stance. It took this stance even after 6000 Palestinian children were slaughtered and it hasn't corrected its position, even after the world's highest court judged that Israel is plausibly committing a genocide. I know you didn't go into that starbucks, but wanted to let everyone know to buy local and support organizations that have some human decency
They're real people man.
hope Karma gets you makes you homeless so we can nickname you a zombie wow such a heartless soul you have
Terrible what drugs make you look like. So sad to see good people living like that. And yeah I said it. Drugs.
Blackened is simply meat that has been generously seasoned with Cajun seasonings then grilled or cooked over high heat in a skillet.
^
Also meat that steals from and murders other meats
I went to Seattle last year and pulled up to a random dollar tree and saw a car filled with people doing heroin. I’m from the bay and seen a lot of stuff but to me that was crazy!

Primera vez que me sale la traducción de los subtítulos en español. Buena esa Carlos!, ya regresaste mi pana.
Glad to see you back bro. Your vids never a miss 🔥🔥
It’s really sad in Seattle. I avoid going in to town. It sickens me all the damage and waste. It used to be a beautiful fun place to hang out.
I'm from Seattle. You can find crime, homelessness, and drug usage in any urban city, it's not unique to just Seattle. Are there places that i wouldn't want to travel in Seattle at night? Sure, but the same can be said for a lot of cities.
Glad I was able to visit back in the day before it went to shit

OMG! I live in Seattle. Good to see you in the area. I love your videos!
I'm here in Seattle too. I see a lot of focus on crime, drug usage, poverty. You can find that in most urban cities, it is not unique to just Seattle.
Thanks for coming to visit my city. 🙏🏾
Man thank you for coming close to home it was fun watching you some where I was in

You're in my city now...I've been here for 16 years , from Chicago and I don't even go downtown anymore !! In the summer this place is beautiful with the tall evergreen trees and lilac bushes,..flowers everywhere,..waterfronts all around !!! You have to go to Gasworks park,..Alki beach,..the Burke Gilman trail along side of Lake Washington....but you're right,.it's too expensive to live here ,...but great in the summer on the beaches !!!

The lost cause is that criminal loser in your profile picture...
@@lifewithaclifewithac897 I don't agree that this is happening in Florida or Texas. I grew up in the SF Bay in the 80's and it was such a beautiful place. We moved in 1998 to Sacramento and it's turned into SF as well. I'm not a Republican, but I do see these settings usually in Democratic areas.

Go to Kensington, PA for the real zombie experience.
Skid row in LA has 20X the homeless population.
@@GratefulDawg760Most of the dope in Kensington is cut with tranq, causing many cases of necrosis. Literal zombies
@@GratefulDawg760 LA has 20 million more poeple than puget sound
@@GratefulDawg760 Seattle has what he's showing on every street in the city though. In a all the surrounding towns. Street lined with RVs and tents everywhere. Skid row is just one area of LA. I actually lived in Seattle up until recently and moved to San Diego and people complain about homeless here and it's nothing compared to Seattle. One other difference is it rains 9 months out of the year in Seattle and those homeless encampments are nasty compared to sunny LA. The amount of orange plastic needle caps all over Seattle is something out of a horror movie. I'm sure it's bad in LA if not worse, but since moving to California from Seattle. Seattle is far worse from what I've seen!
Good video congratulations.GOD BLESS YOU.
You’re back!!! I missed your videos bro! It defff would be hard for me to pass up the BBQ. How does it compare to that salmon you got in Argentina?
He back ‼️‼️‼️‼️
I was born and raised in Seattle. I used to do graffiti on these exact streets every single night from about 11pm until the sun came up. This was in the 1990's, 3rd Ave has ALWAYS been like this. Since at least the 90's. Always drugs, always homeless. It has definitely gotten worse, that's from policies that decriminalize public drug use, allow homeless to camp on sidewalks, mass influx of population in the two thousand teens (Seattle population had record new citizens 3 years in a row, population grew by about 40%) and policies that supported homeless with money and support that caused a mass influx of homeless with drug problems. This is the same thing you see in Portland, SF and LA for the same exact reason. Nobody was successful and became homeless from a temporary struggle. That guy claiming 3rd Ave was safe in 2008? LOL. 2007 and 2008 were two of the most violent years on record in downtown Seattle up until that point. Most homicides in one year ever in Seattle. Tons of robberies and assaults those years. Lack of police, lack of enforcement and extremely tolerant government policies is the reason for what Seattle currently is.
nice hey I wanna ask you, I'm an old grafitti guy myself, do you remember way back in Seattle a guy called "Cold Killer aka Cold K?" He would usually put up a ghost that looked like the pac man ghost? Cold K had pieces everywhere, in every district, in the craziest spots too, on high rises, in the most crazy spots, tell me you remember
@@Dubsteppah No, sorry bro I don't know that guy. Might've been before my time.
So you were a garbage kid
It sounds like you are part of the degradation of the city with your graffiti contributions. Nothing to brag about. Being a talentless defacer and spray can scribbler is immature and artistically worthless, yet taggers like to think they offer something of value. No, just creating an environment for more squalor.
That's what I was thinking. I first moved to Seattle in 1997 and lived on 3rd and Blanchard where the Art institute dorms use to be. Downtown has been a homeless drug mess since I moved there, and it can go as far back as the 70s from what I've heard. 3rd and Pike is the major hub for mass transit there. I do feel like it's gradually got a lot worse. Since fentanyl has reared its ugly head it's become far worse in the last 10 years. It's not just downtown it's in every surrounding city of Seattle, RVs, tents on every street corner. The size of the many encampments around the city are like something out of a third world country. King county is pretty much lawless and it has been for so long you almost get use to it.
Where are you volpe? Dope to see new vids bro. Keep going mano 🫡😎

It’s crazy because this was one of my dream cities but as I am coming of age I can only hope that within 10 or so years the city is back to being less chatoic in time. Funnily enough I’ve been more interested in Detroit because of its recent up comings and it’s “promising” future.

The captivating video you've shared underscores a pivotal truth - the challenges faced by cities like Seattle and Portland are intricately linked to the policies in place rather than a mere lack of financial resources. The Pacific Northwest, abundant in prosperity, is beckoning for astute leadership and innovative policies to restore the luster of cities now grappling with the consequences of misguided governance.
This video sheds light on the pressing need for a paradigm shift in political strategies and the reconsideration of long-standing leadership choices. Despite the region's financial affluence, the cities find themselves ensnared in a web of detrimental policies, and the perpetuation of this cycle is attributed to a recurring selection of leaders who may not be steering the urban landscape towards a brighter future.
The call for change resonates through your observations, emphasizing that the key to revitalizing these beautiful cities lies in the hands of the electorate. The importance of advocating for and embracing leaders with visionary policies cannot be overstated, offering a transformative alternative to the status quo.
Hey that's my neck of the woods! You should come and look at Portland. Very similar vibes to Seattle but no taxes on anything! lol
She caught the salmon wild with her own hand lol 😂😆
As someone from Seattle, yeah the cost of living has skyrocketed, especially with the cost of groceries rising recently, I have friends who can barely afford groceries, and they have decent jobs.
The other thing that aggravates thins is that there are a lot of services for the homeless in downtown, like soup kitchens, and lots of hospitals as well, so when people become homeless they flock there. However the homeless shelters often only allow one backpack worth of stuff (so the'd have to get rid of all of their belongings) and don't allow pets, and you have to basically sleep on the floor in close proximity next to another person who could be a creep or a criminal or something, so most people choose to sleep outside in a tent where it's relatively safer. Also as mental health facilities outside of the city get shut down, people come to Seattle for healthcare and then get stranded.
It's a complicated situation. The cost of living and covid put people on the streets, then some fall victim to drugs or violence. Then the homeless say there because there are some services that help take care of them that don't exist elsewhere. But even with the help most can't get a job that pays them enough to afford housing and stability. And once someone is homeless for a long time, no matter who they were before or how hard they tried to get out of their situation, eventually it wears people down to the point where they can't get out themselves; learned helplessness.
Also as a native though I have to say that Bellevue and Kirkland are NOT Seattle. You should have gone to West Seattle!!! Also Ballard and Fremont and Capitol Hill. There's some really beautiful and interesting neighborhoods in Seattle, with better food and culture. It's unfortunate that you saw so little, a part of the reason I think is that our "downtown" area isn't like the downtown in most cities; it's the financial/business district, there's not much going on there it's just where people work, and where tourists go. But newcomers often think that downtown would be the best most interesting place to be.
You should check out Vancouver Canada some time bro its just a few hours north from Seattle
Ya I’d never eat salmon fish n chips!
Love Seattle.. but it’s going through some tough times! Hoping it gets back to normal one day ❤

I got to see James Brown at a concert at the 1962 Seattle World's Fair. You're right Volpe. Beer battered Halibut is the way to go, scallops and clams too. When you head down to SF, Cioppino is a must try.
😅😂😅Where are the zombies???? Hilarious!
Trust me they are all over Seattle. They are sketchy and strange people so I'm assuming it's hard to just point a camera in their face. Especially since this guys never seen something like this before. He's just showing a couple streets in the city, but in reality it's happening all over that town on every street. They are taking fentanyl and horse tranq which makes them nod off standing up, it's very creepy even if you're use to seeing it.
Where is Alejandra?
It's been a while since we've seen her in a vid, what's going on with her?

Damn, I was in Seattle around the same time. I missed an experience with Volpeeee? I bet it would have been a lot more fun ;P
as someone who has lived downtown Seattle for nearly the last 20 years, I always feel safer in many of the foreign countries where I'm told it's "sketchy" or "unsafe" (especially Latin America where are a lot of your videos are filmed) than I do walking around 3rd Ave; especially early mornings
@Volpe *And that's why Costco's brand is "Kirkland" as that was where their headquarters were as they also started in this area as well as Microsoft, Amazon, Starbucks and Boeing.* 21:48
Anyone know what that cowboy hat wearing singing banjo players name was??? sounded really good!
I’ll have to go down and try out some of those salmon fish and chips
10:22 Carlos NEVER complains about food, so you know that had to be bad.
Wow, good to see you in Seattle. You’re a long ways from all the interesting places you’ve been to. Yes, other than the Pike Place Market, Seattle has nothing to offer tourists - and locals, anymore. And that’s not saying much. Like most big cities, it’s changed for the worse. I moved up here in the 90’s and lived downtown, worked downtown - absolutely loved living downtown for a few years before moving over to Kirkland. Your video, showing what has become of downtown Seattle, is sad and depressing. Seattle was NEVER like that. It was a thriving, fun… great city to both work and live in. Walking from Queen Anne to Pioneer Square to Capitol Hill, all over the city, was always safe and fun when hanging out with friends. The bar and music scene, great restaurant scene, was thriving. But wow, your video shows a shell of a city. Completely depressing… times sure have changed.
Without getting too political, Seattle is now, just like every other major city in this country - a cesspool. Drug addicts, homelessness, crime everywhere, cost of living, useless corrupt politicians who don’t do a thing but steal money and commit crimes themselves… zero answers to alleviate the glaring issues of their cities. The list can go on and on… but yes, realistically, it all starts at the top. This country’s leadership is beyond atrocious, beyond failing. Whichever party it is, they’re destroying this country. And it’s showing everywhere on our streets. There are many factors in play, but you see this crap in every city now. The clear results of horrible leadership - from political leadership to parenting in the home.
It’s too bad you weren’t here in Seattle 20-25 years ago, lol, probably weren’t even born yet. Just know that Seattle used to be a great city to live in.
I visited Seattle in Sept. 2023. as my Son is stationed (Navy)across the Sound Poulsbro? anyway, I was there a week. Being from South Texas, San Antonio, It was a nice change of scenery. We don't have the Diversity of Seattle. It was nice to see other races, mostly Asian, India, etc. We are mostly Hispanic here in South Texas (Mexican Heritage) although, I did meet and speak to a few hispanics working in the Hotel from Colombia and Mexico. I visited the Pikes Place, Seattle Space Needle, rode the Light rail, and Monorail walked downtown by 3rd street saw the Zombies etc. I found the weather very nice, everything was Green, lush, a very expensive city. Would I like to live there? no, but it was a interesting place to visit for a week., people were friendly for the most part.
Didn't expect Seatle being so warm during winter to be able to just wear shorts and t-shirt.
Because it wasn’t winter but October when this was filmed.
That's my hometown. There's always been crazies, drug dealers, crackheads, hookers, etc. hanging around 3rd & Pike and surrounding. That was called "The Blade" back in the 80's.
Volpe: Look up the 1984 documentary called, "Streetwise." Filmed in Seattle around 1st & 2nd & Pike area partly. You will see that part of Seattle has always been grimy.

Austin TX is like that with the homeless, housing and traffic is horrible...I bet 10 years more nd it will be as expensive like Seattle with all the development they doing or might be already is in travis County... but in County's up north atx mortgage and rent is really pricey.

The homeless started sliding into Bellevue around 2013. Generally they were pretty invisible, one every 10-20 blocks. Then the methadone clinic got set up on the eastside. Seattle got tired of the homeless being shoved onto them. So now, we have a men's shelter/transitional housing in Bellevue, women and children up in Kirkland. The poverty and homeless issue should have been taken care of in the 1950s. Reaganomics really buggered up life for the middle class.

Looks like Vancouver, Canada, and most big cities in Canada
Banjo is so hard to play!
I've lived in Seattle for 44 years. There are pockets of areas that are really bad especially in downtown Seattle. Most of the surrounding neighborhoods are clean and very expensive to live in. Kirkland is one of the better managed cities. Most homes in these neighborhoods are unaffordable unless you're making over a shit ton of money.
This basically sums up all major American cities. The affordability level differs from city to city, but the concept is the same. Many Americans will call an entire major city a "shit hole" because the news portrays it this way. In reality, it's only a small percentage of the city as a whole. I love how the people who have these opinions live nowhere near or have never even been to these cities. There opinions are solely based off a few short segments they've seen on the news or twitter.
@@The_El_Guapo Agreed. Crime, poverty, and drug use is not unique to just Seattle. You can find these elements in any major urban city, even in cities down in South America where most of his videos have been made.
Seattle is too crazy for me you see some $hit in Miami Dade but not like that out in the open.

Thanks to democrat policies. Free drugs, defunding the police, no penalties...etc. Same shit in Portland, Oakland, SanFran, LA,... List goes on.
Same in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and Tampa.
Honestly it blew up under trump. Lets not start that republican regurgitated talk, how you try to blame democrats for anything bad going on in the country. It's a very old play in the republican handbook. The party that creates fake issues and fails at fixing them to keep everyone scared. While the real issues are never talked about!
I'm guessing you've never stepped foot in either of the towns you mention? It's not a political issue, it's a drug crisis much worse than the crack epidemic of the 80s. If you remember that period of time no one ever placed blame on politics. I lived in Seattle from 1998-2024 and I'm just wondering why you cry democrat? We're talking about 20,000 homeless addicted to fentanyl, where are they suppose to house these people? How do you jail 20,000 homeless who don't show up to a court date and waste more tax payer dollars? What is it that you think politics plays into the minds of these people? You people want to act all woke, but go live there for awhile and let me know how the republicans would fix this? Jail all of them. You cry constitution but it's written in the constitution that you can't be put in jail for living off the land aka the street. Trumps a felon so don't act like youre the party of law and order. You want to stop abortions but don't mind passing bills to keep illegal guns on the street to shoot kids etc! The republican party is a fake mess! trump isn't going to save us, neither is biden. I live in San Diego now and I laugh when people complain about the homeless here which is a far cry from what Seattle homeless fentanyl addicts are like! Time to actually wake up and think for yourself, and not let some political association! I noticed your videos are mostlly from Winnepeg so I'm not sure why US politics matter to you, I couldn't tell you the president of canada lol! I do know fentanyl is just as big in Vancouver so how do you explain your political stance on democrats when it comes to Vancouver? Do you blame democrats for inflation too when it's happening worldwide! I mean youre such a genius and all right?
Volpe should take a walk in Kensington Philadelphia.
