Cringe…
Every AK is an upside down M1.
@@mikearayro3375 no, it's AVT-40
@@mikearayro3375 Ew
Probably the M14 the performance is the same but the loading process seems easier and has more rounds
M1 garand vs M1 carabine
Good idea
This isn't 2009. That's two different ballfields with obvious differences. Stick to the program
@@ryanr.3925 sure
@@ryanr.3925 It's perfectly fine to compare them. They were issued in the same war to the same military. The purpose of a comparison is to highlight their differences, not similarities.

M1: Handsome weapon.
M14: Functional weapon.
Winner: M1 just for lookin' so good!
Pinging good too
Love both of them, being a vet, would rather carry the M14
Thank u 4 your service
@@g-money7652 you’re welcome
Can't go wrong with either of these classics
Точно сказано 🤝🗿
Both are great rifles for their time. The M14 had rock 'n roll, if you could control the muzzle.
i am a fan of the m14 however at the same time i think both the m1 Garand and the m14 are both winners in my opinion.

Mini-14 vs M1 Carbine
I used an M14 when I was in the service. It served me well through a few years of fighting insurgents. I also handled an M1, though not in combat. I have been in armed engagements with rebels who have used the M1 among other weapons against us. Both are equally lethal, although the M14 has more rounds in a single mag load.
The box magazine is nice, but that “p’ting!” can’t be beat.
Hell yeah
Well it was since it is no longer in service.
Both great rifles. M14 would be the winner for me. Caliber, 20rd box magazine.
Я конечно не являюсь профессиональным коллекционером или любителем оружия, но тем не менее, ваш канал меня очень заинтересовал. Спасибо вам за вашу краткость и простую подачу.
If I had to choose between the M1 Garand and the M14… it’s a draw for me because each rifle has its own favored characteristics. The M1 Garand is the favorite rifle of Ian McCollum from Forgotten Weapons for its history and the M1 being the candid inspiration for the Kalashnikov AK. The M14 on the flip side is what I would use for skirmishes because of the advantage of using the modern detachable magazine therefore not worrying about getting the Garand Thumb in the heat of battle. So it looks like the M14 is the short answer, and with the long answer being both of them good in their own ways.
M14 is the winner to me.
M1 garand vs m1 carbine
Simply adding a magazine can take you a long way
I was in the Italian Armed Forces from '98-00. We used the M-14 as our basic training rifle and for ceremonies. It's a bit heavy, but it's a great, high powered rifle with a lot kick and fairly accurate too
Italian army has never adopted the m14. I was in the army as well in 1995 and we still where using m1 garand for not operative corps. We also had some Beretta BM59 (quite similar to M14) and they were really lovely to shoot and to manage.
M1 Garand: As I am good, my offspring would be better
M14 be like: 💀
M1 garand was used by un forces during the korean war and our korean uses it too
M1 vs M14 vs M1A Scout Squad vs M1A SOCOM 16...."Bang"
I was a Marine from '62--'66. I trained and qualified at PI with the M-14, and later in Fleet. I didn't have to qualify with the M-1, but carried it in ITR at Geiger; no trouble hitting what I aimed at on the "John Wayne" courses. I preferred the M-14, especially when I was an AR man in a fire team; 20 rounds v 8. Big difference.
This guy is definitely good at it if there was an zombie apocalypse
Question do you think you can do the weapons from the movie Gangster Squad
In combat I would rather have the Garand. I own both. The Garand's balance is more front heavy which I prefer and the enbloc loading design is faster than mag changes.
When loading the M1 Garand… watch out for the infamous GARAND THUMB.
Make every shot count.
I would prefer the M14, specifically because any magazine related malfunction (99% of malfunctions) is FAR harder to clear in a Garand than an M14 where you can swap and throw away the mag
I’ll take the “Band of Brothers” model thank you. Love the empty ping sound.
Makes sense considering the m14 is essentially an m1 modified for selectable automatic fire
I would love to see an M-14 vs HK G-3 comparison, and of course a G-3 vs FAL. I have confidence that you probably own both!😂
I used the M-14 in the Marine Corps but the M-1 would have been so much cooler.
Apples and oranges there's no comparison. You get the job done with an M14.
I would say the M1 is the better rifle overall. Officially, the Garand is an inch shorter than the M14 and just so happens to have a longer barrel which is good, but with the flash hider it is even more compact. The lack of a protruding magazine happens to also be a positive if you are trying to store it quickly or crawl with it in a tight spot. The felt recoil is about the same since the M14 is more unbalanced as well. The M14 was such a pos that the war torn Italians made a better version of the M14 out of a modified Garand. Having John Garand help design the "successor" would have helped the rifle to not be shit.
By any chance do you have an extra RSC 1917 clips you'd be willing to sell??
They BOTH WON they're both OUTSTANDING weapons.
Both amazing 👍🏻
using both M1 and M14 in my basic training a way long ago. love both and M1 is still my favorite then
In my opinion, the only advantage that the m 14 has over the m 1 garand is the magazine capacity
Yo, The 2 weapons looks like Matches on Outside Range for Backyard.
I’m always leery of the M1’s potential for “Garand thumb” when inserting the enbloc clip. Plus, the M14 mag is easily topped up via the stripper clip slot. Also, 10-20 rounds vs 8 rounds, no brainer, in my humble opinion.
They are the same except that M14 magazine load is more convenient. M1 if you are careless in loading you end up with a Garand thumb!
Mauser 98k & Springfield 1903, please
All m1a front sight wiggles
M1 garand sets grooves
I own both, i love both!!! If i could only chose one if have a nervous break down trying to decide.
What gets me, is the difference between the Patton quote, and what the feather weight rifle carriers say about them...
Guess who's opinion I trust?
Hey Dude When Are You Guys Gonna Upload Another Video Of You Guys Shooting The M1 Garand Semi-Automatic Rifle Like I Know You Did Part 1 and Part 2 But When Are You Guys Gonna Make An M1 Garand Shooting In the New Format.

Semi-Automatic & Fully-Automatic Mode Like The M1903 Springfield Rifle The M1 Garand The M1 Carbine The M1897 Trench Gun The M1928A1 Thompson
And Of course The Colt M1911A1 Pistol.
Keep Up The Good Work And Remember The Stay Awesome And Have a Nice Day.
You can see the power of m14 in shooting the metal target
You'll be best protected by either rifle.
Can't get a better battle rifle system.
The M14. It’s select fire and has a 20 round magazine.
The Garand is lighter because you have 12 fewer rounds, but the penchant for losing your magazine when you buttstroke someone is nil. The M14 (M1A) holds more ammo and is better able to accessorize than the Garand so I would give the win to the M14 but not by a lot.
Is m1 a good hunting rifles for boars and deer?
Both are winners as was the United States Military for having two outstanding weapons. I am both a M1 Garand fan and owner as well as a M14 fan and owner.
Wouldn’t a better comparison be the BAR vs M14
Carried both but really liked the M-1 the best.
They got the same power but the M-14 Armalite Rifle is an automatic rifle unlike the M-1 Garand that is a semi automatic rifle.
I think theyre basically the same but aesthetically i like the m14 more
Great rifles!
M1 for fun and satisfying pings
M14 for better ammo capacity
M14 is what the M1 wished it could be.
20 rounds > 8 rounds.
Mags are easier to change than the clip and less often. There is a reason why all battle rifles become mag fed vs clip.
Gas piston m14> m1
The 30-06 has a negligible edge over the 7.62 nato round. But being ball ammo, their wounding effects are virtually identical.
M14 full auto or semi > m1 semi only
While the full auto m14 was not comfortable, better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
308 preferred.... good day sammy
M14 , simply because it has a mag of 20 rds . But both amazing rifles .
Winner 🙄 coin toss. They were both awesome war weapons of their time.
can you please make a video about the weapons of the ussr in the second world war
THE M1 GARAND!
Both
there is a 308 Garand, Italian surplus original not a kit at a local gun dealer, Canadian price 2800.00
They are good guns. The difference is only the impact. M1 garand has a good impact.
Own both and for fun id pick Garand for fight its M14. M14 can safely use a wider variety of ammo and has larger capacity. M14 also can easily be topped off with strip clips or scoped for longer range.
M1 Garand, the greatest battle implement in WW II. M14, one man’s ego trip that created a weapon that was obsolete 10 years prior.
That's a strange opinion. Why can't you call it an improved modded version?
Yes, I don't argue that the Garand is beautiful, but the same can be said about the AK (which borrowed the principle of mechanism operation from the Garand, but that's not the point).
AK 12 is a failed modification of the AK 74, which is a modification of the AKM, which is a modification of the AK 47.
@@DerpyFox improved modded alright…On a platform that was already obsolete by 1950! Even in 1944, the germans showed the way with the Sturmgewher 44, after they realized that over 80% of combat took place at 200 yards/meters or less. The AK may have borrowed the Garand’s operating system but that was it. The Russians were smart enough to package it in a brand new package firing a brand new 7.62x39mm intermediate round! Just Like The Stg-44! But here?!? Nope! Studeler, then the army’s ordinance board director, his ego won’t allow it! So he took the entire army and shove it up his own you know where so all of them can only smell and taste his own Sugar Honey Ice Tea so we got a weapon that was at least 10 years out of date and got its @$$ handed back to it in Vietnam! There is a whole entire reason why the M-14 lasted only seven years of full service (yes, it lasted much longer as a DMR but it’s full service life was woefully short) before getting replaced while, if we were to use a full rifle round rifle, the FN FAL, lasted over 40 years and was known as the “right arm of the free world” for a reason while the M-14 is nothing more than a footnote! Now, eventually, I will get a M-1 and M-14 because I’m collecting the Army’s service rifle from the M1903 to the M4A1, but there’s a reason why, when my local gun shop had a full size M-1A and a used FAL that I got the FAL first! That rifle is a classic…The M-14?!? Not so much….
M14 gives me a woody.
Can you put the gun on the table when aiming
if i ever make a doom mod i wanna use the garand as a weapon in it
The one I lucky enough to own.
Wow
I like both tbh.. but I like m14 a lot more.. also ebr style is good too.. 👌
Also tried loading m1 before.. and fucker ate my thumb.. it was old and badly maintained after all..
Lol 😆
I feel like M14 smacked harder.
This is the best rifle of the 2nd World War
M14 but honestly both
M1 garand is a beast
Finally a new vídeo, what is happening with you guys? You are posting very few vídeos nowadays.
You should shoot an old submachine gun from
World War 1
The submachine gun wasn't invented until about 1920, after WWI!
I would take the M14 due to capacity. Although, if you want it to convert with a beautiful walnut hunting stock, I would take the M1.
Why did the army replace the M1 with the M14? There must of been some sort of problem with the M1.
for me m1 garand win because its save you when you hear the sound ting it means you have to reload
Broadning your content! I like it! Look out Ian lol:
I like them both, cuz they e are same 30 caliver
M14, hands down.
I always hated M1 series iron sights it's really hard to work I think K98 has the best iron sights.
The winner is both..
I know the US military uses these rifles but do law enforcement like police officers and detectives use these rifles?
And my taste test winner goes to the M1 Garand !!!
M14 weakness is overheating In a long battle garand is the winner
A bullied kid be browsing reviews
I fired expert with the M1, and also took second place trophy in the Ninth Coast Guard District rifle competition in 1969. Mastering the sling is key to consistent 300 yard plus bullseyes. I have both M1s and M1As in my gun safes…. If I saw leftists coming over the hill, I’d choose the M1.
BM59 vs M14 vs M1
Carried both in USMC M1 was my favorite, although both were reliable. Carrying a clip was more convenient than a magazine.
But if I could choose, ППС and 1911
The soda bottles won.
USMC Vet... The M-14 holds 20 rounds and has select fire....in combat , if you are out-numbered , you will thank the Lord that you can go full-auto...and load much faster ...the M-14 is a far better battle rifle ...! Semper Fi...!
M14 my 2nd gun just next to my Ak47 that i would trust my life to depend😅😅
I Luv m14 and Garand riffle ❤
Effectively same stopping power and accuracy. M14 weighs a little more, though that's to be expected considering the Garand can only hold 8 rounds to the M14's 20.
Also a bit less dicey to reload an M14, but the M14 lacks M1's trademark ping.
While the M1 wins on style points, practically-speaking...I gotta give the win to the M14. After all, we can still miss, and 20 rounds is a lot more forgiving than 8.
@GunsOfTheWorId Like I always say (and others have said it before me): The Second (Amendment, that is) was written to protect the First (Amendment).
