    EZEKIEL 37:12

    Ezekiel 37:12
Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.
    Ezekiel 37:13
And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,
    Ezekiel 37:14
And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.
This is a prophecy of Jesus raising the O.T. believers when He returns to save Israel and establish the kingdom.
This is done so Israel shall "know" he is the Lord.
Jesus raised a small sample of Israel believers to show Israel that He is the Lord. A sign from scriptures in the O.T. that the jews knew, so there would be no doubt that Jesus was their messiah.

Read Matt. 27:54 The roman soldier said after what he saw and heard about: "This is the son of God" Israel's Holy One, the messiah.

Wrong! It literally says they were raised after Jesus Christ. Probably should have read the scripture before giving a false teaching.
“and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭27‬:‭53‬

“But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him ➡️those who sleep in Jesus.⬅️For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those ➡️who are asleep.⬅️For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.”

@@JohnK557 : Raised means thrown out. Not resurrected.
Resurrection of bodies have never happened. Only persons who have died have been resurrected.

@@tongakhan230 That’s nothing but a false opinion that contradicts scripture. The context is Christ being raised and then those saints who were asleep and then they went into the holy city and appeared to many people. Was Christ raised or thrown out? So you need to read your Bible and believe what it says not your false teachings.

The clue is in the use of the word bodies. Bodies are never resurrected. Persons are. The earthquake shook these bodies out from the tombs.
Passers-by saw this and reported it to the necessary authorities. Who would have gone and restored these bodies to their tombs.
Nothing is mentioned about this incident again by anyone.

No that is ridiculous lol the text makes it very clear these people were resurrected. “Went into the city”. I didn’t know earthquakes make bodies “go into the city” and appear unto many

@@TSammut0219 : The earthquakes upset the tombs and bodies were thrown out.
Why is there no mention of this event again. Because those who witnessed this reported it to the authorities. These would have come and replaced these holy ones' bodies back into the proper resting places.
The way that event is translated may give rise to confusion.
No bodies are resurrected. Persons are.
Please read all the resurrection occurrences. It was always to specific persons.

@@tongakhan230 this is your attempt at explaining away a clear passage. The scripture is clear.
“and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, and came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.”
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭27‬:‭52‬-‭53‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Yea, the persons are the saints in this passage. The bodies AROSE. Not fell out of the tomb lol then they went into the city and appeared unto many. Your interpretation is ridiculous

@@TSammut0219 : That account never appears anywhere else. Nor is even mentioned by anyone. Probably the copyinst got something wrong in the way they worded it in Greek. Matthew was written in Hebrew.
It is really not important and has no bearing on the Gospel.
      Just reason:
If Jesus is called the FIRSTFRUITS of those being resurrected (1 Corinthians 15:20), logically bodies with no names being resurrected would not make sense.
Those asleep in death had their bodies tossed out of the tombs by the earthquake.
Resurrections by God occur THROUGH someone he uses. Whom did God use to raise those bodies?
Only Jesus was an exception. Acts 2:32.
Bodies are NEVER resurrected. Only persons are.
Please show me one incident in the Bible of someone's body being resurrected. It doesn't make any sense. It will be what is called a zombie.
