You did the same thing I did. I Bought a regular ranger xp1000 loved it but I wish i had gotten the ultimate so i ordered one. Won't see it until spring but I can't wait until it comes in. These rangers are fun as hell
Agree with the headache rack...it’ll save your back glass👍 I added a backup light-it counters the glare you get from the headlights when backing up at night
I must be old. When did Stoopid become a complement? Also I'm in Arizona and heated seats come completely free here, hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
I just started looking and comparing the machines, because, at 66 years of age, I am tired of the dust, heat, and cold from riding in my Pioneer 1000-5. Love my Pioneer, but want to upgrade the interior comfort level. Am looking between the Can Am Defender and this model. I am liking the lower roof height of this one over the Defender, so it will fit in my garage. The Ride Command seems awesome. How is the ride on bumpy trails? I put Walker Evans shocks on my Pioneer and the ride made a drastic improvement. Are the factory shocks good enough? Are the seats comfortable? I am torn between the longer 4 door model and the 2 door models, but not sure how much I will need the rear seating. We usually ride 3 in the front of my Pioneer, and keep the rear seats folded down. Even though I am from the Houston area, I exclusively drive my machine in southwestern Colorado, on the Alpine Loop, as we have a cabin in Pagosa Springs, CO. Enjoyed your video. Keep ‘em coming.
I wish I had bought the crew model because it gives you room to haul gear, like when hunting or fishing that you don't want bouncing around in the bed and exposed to weather. I don't often have passengers but the 3 seat dosen't have any places to put gear.
the parents and uncle bought 2 defender with cab only complaint is the steering wheel vibrations and when i bought my ranger northstar they comoared to my cab and wished they bought one of those instead lol
I’m concerned with leg room. My dad has a 2012 Ranger and my right leg kills me being on the gas pedal and at an angle that is not comfortable. The ultimate is two or three steps up and I’m wondering if the seats recline enough to create some leg room.
I have a 2022 North Star, it has internal antenna for the radio but reception is crap, I see you have external antenna, how is your reception. Also my windshield seems to make a creaking noise, do you have any issue like that.
Do you believe the Polaris Ranger xp1000 would plow snow as well as the RTV or better? I am trying to decide between the RTV x1100c or Ranger 1000xp for work around my property, which has steep hills. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
@@RedDevilinCali it does OK. Not great but does good enough. After you get used to driving it on hills it’s fine. When in doubt. Put it in low and it’ll do just fine.
@@seanforney24 awesome, I don't really care that it may go slow, just as long as it has the torque to do the job. Just need a good machine to creep up steep hills to pull firewood and debris off my property and snow plow in winter some. Im old and retired, and don't need to go fast, just need to have something that is dependable/reliable to pull wood and haul dirt. Your videos and reviews are the best. keep up the good work!!!
For sure, it gets warm enough to wear a light jacket and be good. Have to work with the defogger a little to master it, but that’s common also in our RTV. Overall nice and comfy!
Its more when you get goin down the road at 50+km when its -30c /-22 the engine will not keep up with heat even at -10c. Mine would cool down to blow 155F on the roads. I have a cover for about 80% of my radiator. Now the temperature only cools down to 178f ish on the roads. I take the cover out once we get temperatures hovering near 0c/32F again
@@hamiltonadventures8537 so if I’m putting around keeping the engine temp high then the cab heats up nice but if I’m road riding it’s going to struggle?
@@aaronkerns6808 yeah sorta like at -10c its bearable id say not that cold in the cab goin down the road for a few miles. But anymore then that or colder yeah you're gunna notice it cooling off at higher speeds
Best review I have watched so far, had a 2017 Polaris 1000 XP but now thinking of going with the Northstar. Thanks.
Thank you, they are nice machines.
I'm looking at getting the kinetic EV version of this. I've heard nothing but good things. Great video!
I have the same machine, really enjoy it , 800 miles and no issues
Wow that bike has more accessories then a Cadillac 👍

I have the same exact machine now for a year and love it, I’ll never sell it.

That is next on my list of things to add.
Or shut off the headlights ...
Awesome Vid!
Awesome

I would use FWD in the snow for good control, it might save you from sliding into a tree etc.

They do not recline, but they do slide back enough that me at 6’2” has plenty of room.

Reception is great, no issues.
I may be wrong, But if you have decent control? You do have the Trail Boss. Let me know if you come up with different info.
Maybe, I’ll have to look into that!
Checked the owners manual, it is a TB. Lucky me!!!! Thanks for pointing that out!

The RTV is the best all around workhorse. The XP will certainly be more fun. Depends on the ultimate goal. If it’s work than is the RTV all day.

Which one would you pick if you could only have 1? Polaris or the kubota?
Hmmmm tough question. The Kubota is certainly more practical!
Bought a kubota in December. Love it so far.
Kubota = quality. Polaris = crap.
Hello, ranger bed tie-down anchors, so are you interested in testing products for your UTV?
Sure thing, I can do that.
What’s your occupation?
Own a few businesses. Insurance and real estate mainly.
Hey from inwood
Ummm… the rhino reinvented the game… they made the first fun side by side… for sure… they got sued over it before the ranger even tried.
No disagreement there, but…. The Ranger made it fun. IMO.
