    Motivation is just a felling, It comes and goes. Discipline, focus, perseverence, hard work is the way. Thank God I'm learning this at my 20's.

      A hardworking man can be just a mule if he doesn't have motivation. Repeating the same things over and over day after day might be a way of hiding from things, fro. Trying new ways. Motivation is always what gives you vision for going to different place, uncharted territory. I mean there are countless of gym rats that never go beyond obscurity because they just repeat what's meant to be repeated. While motivated guys can create new paths.

    • @RibsBjj
      @RibsBjj 2 года назад +1

      @@JT-xj1pg I agree, that's nothing wrong with motivation, but it burns as fast as motivates you. We need something else when the fire extinguishes.

    • @Adeyemiii
      @Adeyemiii 2 года назад +1

      great comment. i hate when people ask me, “what motivates you to go to the gym all the time?” I DON’T HAVE MOTIVATION MOST OF THE TIME! I go even when I don’t feel like it. That’s just discipline. I don’t see many people with a similar mindset often, so your comment made my day.

    • @RibsBjj
      @RibsBjj 2 года назад

      @@Adeyemiii That's is true showing up even when you don't feel like it will get you ahead on things. Shortly before I made this comment I started jiujitsu and in the begginning even though I hitted the gym for yrs prior, I wasnt ready for the fitness level it requires. So sometimes I just showed up regardless either on the gym or in the mat, long story short I'm a blue belt already and have won two tornaments.

      @alexsh4517 Год назад

      @NT-lq3lq Chamber of truth is the same truth of life. Whether you overcome your fear or not you have faced it, it is not meant to be, overcoming fear is such a misconception because you still have to live with the fear of death regardless, no warrior has a chance to die in the ring if he fights till death, so why should he continue to face death?

    This is fantastic. When things get tough, I often feel like both. The guy that keeps going and the guy that quits. There is one time I can remember, a training so long I got to experience both, feeling like all I wanted to do was quit and somehow I kept going. The decision wasn’t rational, like “I’m that guy” for me. Finnishing just felt like something I had to do so I did it. And afterwards I was one of four out of about 150 people who succeeded in this training.

    • @jdlh1989
      @jdlh1989 3 года назад

      Yeah love Teddy but he is a lil too hard on Mike though mainly because of the daughter incident when Mike was a teenager. Mike had his demons surely but anyone would if they endured his horrible childhood/conditioning. He is now at peace though and is a good,humble guy these days. Even though there were fights during a period where he was pretty much giving up on himself and life it seemed late in his career, Tyson did face adversity and was in some wars like with Razor Ruddick etc.. It seems the crazy antics like the Holyfield ear biting incident was much more than Mike just wanting out of a fight that wasn't going his way, it was the accumulation of many hardships, past demons and letdowns from people he confided in that ultimately just used him for their own financial gain etc.. Don King, Robin Givens etc.. There was a time when Mike had crappy character but he has evolved and grown into an entirely different human being it seems. One thing is definite though, he is the most physically gifted heavyweight fighter ever from just a raw, natural genetic perspective 🥊😉

    Holyfield v Tyson I is one of the finest displays of mental fortitude and boxing skills I have ever seen. Quite simply Iron Mike got his arse handed to him.

    I think to say that Mike Tyson didn't face any resistance or real test until Holyfield is not true. I think Mike had great potential but was his own worst enemy

      That is right James Tillis and Mitch Green took him the distance along with james smith and tony tucker. Biggs went pretty far with him too possibly 1 rounds before the TKO

    Teddy makes me laugh, he's always ragging on Tyson but at the end of it all, Teddy never fought. He says Tyson had no heart but he was fighting grown men at 13 years old. Youngest ever HW champ. Sure Mike had that bully mentality but thats what Cus TAUGHT HIM. Mike was an impressionable kid and Cus exploited that. He made Tyson that way. Tyson lost the first fight to Holyfield not through lack of heart. He lost fair and square. And Tyson did have resistance in his fights, many times. Teddy just comes across as bitter and resents his success. Let's not be fooled by the cool music and Teddys ramblings. He's wrong here.

    Teddy always like to say things need to be said whether some people like it or not. So this is what needs to be said about you. Tyson may have done some thing wrong a long time ago, you need to let that go. Every time you speak about weakness you mention Tyson, may be he is, but he isn't the first one and won't be the last one. Whenever you mention his name you sound bitter all the time. May be you should talk about your weakness also like pulling a gun on a 13 year old boy..And the anti Tyson thing is getting old.
