You could try looking for a rescue in your area that has a focus on senior cats and learn how you can help and then go from there. Certainly there is a need for senior cats for a sanctuary/permanent home as it is harder for senior cats to be adopted. Study and learn how the leaders here realized their dream.

The Furball Farm is a pretty place to live for cats. Observing these cats gains weight after spay and neuter, and wonder what happens in future that cats will cease to exist. No more the next generations...?? I wondered...yet a wonderful safe place for these cats...

@@lularoepattihernandezvip if I am TNRing myself, I use the cheaper vets who are unable to hospitalize. The city TNR program kept the cats 3-4 days. When I keep them, I use (borrowed) kennels. I laugh when FF calls these "feral" cats. These are abandoned cats who have become very wary of humans-- maybe some cats born in colonies but with human intereaction. I have dealt with many true ferals and they fly like the cartoon Tazmanian Devil. They can destroy a room in 2 minutes and the only way to catch them is with serious gloves and a willingness to get bitten (I've needed antibiotics twice-- now I have good leather gloves and nets). None of these cats is remotely feral. A little hissing is normal for re-homed cats!
I just found you like a week ago and I think this a unique and beautiful place. The cats are beautiful and they don't look like they were feral.

They should be out of anesthesia in a couple hours! For TNR I keep males one night, ladies 2- assuming they have eaten, drank, peed and pooped!
