Hello, thanks for watching. Obviously you are entitled to your opinion, but this video wasnt meant to be demeaning. What is a disgrace however, is the fact that the homes in the lower part of Jaywick are in the hands of private landlords, who are charging high rent for homes not fit for purpose.
@@travellingeverard4326 I live in New Zealand and a similar thing happens here. We have a major housing shortage, people are desperate for homes and property prices are through the roof therefore landlord's charge the rent equivalent of a 3 bed, 2 bath home for a shoebox apartment with no facilities. Houses that were 250k 10-15 years ago are now literally million dollar properties. Generally speaking, working class Kiwi's are totally screwed as far as owning their first home goes.

We saw some tents with some homeless people and behind them was an advertisement for luxury condominiums starting at two million dollars. It is absolutely shameful. Also your wife should maybe consider putting some facial tissues in her handbag for the toilets. You are going to run out of socks eventually.
Society can't account for every homeless persons choices. Canada and USA have a huge homeless subculture of young adults who are slumming it by choice. Toronto, Vancouver, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Vancouver WA, etc the list is endless. They have chosen drugs and booze over "conformity" and "capitalism" and jobs. It says more about them than the luxury apartments people are building.
Welcome to the Syria of essex
I bet the public toilets are nicer in Syria
and we say welcome the ignorant who visit
@@travellingeverard4326 Our local council HAS SHUT most of the districts toilets in cost cutting measures, oh and visiting tourists steal toilet rolls from the very few toilets left open in Clacton and surrounding areas/ do your research before opening you gob lad/ failed yet again

Ah, Poverty Safari
Most of Jaywick was actually nice, especially the beach. Thanks for watching

most deprived?...give it a rest
I didn't think it was too bad, but in 2019, it was named UK most deprived area for the third time
Saffend happy new year 2023 lmao
Where's the entertainment bingo etc
Pissy socks?🤔 Is it like a when in Rome type thing but "when in Jaywick".😆
Haha, very much so. Thanks for watching
Is Larry David your friend
Haha Larry David is my dad. Thanks for watching
Disabled some and some not ref scooters sign on!!
Your father ( or father in law looks a hellova lot like larry david
Its a Shame its like this. 😐.. Jaywick is stuck in time.
Hi Nathalie, thank you for watching. Jaywick just needs a bit of investment, then it would be a nice place. There is potential!
@@travellingeverard4326 you are welcome. Yes it does definitely. It would be a nice place if some money went into it.
In all fairness your video of jaywick, you probably done it some justice as I have seen much worse films 🎥 of this area in the past.
Let the residents have the redevelopment homes in other words let them refurbish them themselves 😴😂😂
Did u bump into Danny sloggett
Unfortunately not. Does he still do his RUclips videos?
Won't eat from the Chinese because of the fear of food poisoning but not averse to swallowing sea water laced with sewage?
Haha im sure the Chinese is fine really. Not sure what i swallowed in the sea, but was feeling fine after. Thanks gor watching
It's very easy to go to a deprived area and take the mick out of them..Not impressive at all
Thank you for watching. It was never my intention to take the mick out of anyone. I actually rather enjoyed Jaywick as a whole, and would definitely go back again.
Nice vlog however I cannot say the same about Jaywick. What an absolute dump and it looks well dodge to walk around.
Thanks for watching David. It was quite rundown in places, but been to worse places.
As every nosey tourist they never walked or showed the better parts = FAILED then same as trash TV shows
@@ianburit3705
Doesn’t matter it still a dump!
@@davidnm21 It doesn't matter you not seen it all, but thanks for your comments, but to watch a biased or faked video you like many fall into the trap thats its all the same, so ignorance is yours as others best virtue..for that the others like us just smile at you saying YEESS but bye now while smiling.. lol
@@travellingeverard4326 But you disregarded the better things and disregarded a whole better section of the estate knowing it was better/ failed lad
You shouldn't give up your day job, especially if you're trying to break into the comedy circuit, you're treating that place as if it's a visit to a zoo, those people are part of the human race too, and for you, everything was just a cheap laugh! Try a career in the Diplomatic Corps!
Where's the fishermen 😴
It's a shame that people go out of there way to make a degrading video of a place where people are genuinely stuck in poverty. I hope it made you feel really good about yourself. Try having some sympathy for these people, you are only a paycheck or two from being homeless you know. Go home to suburban living and big yourself up. Sick head!!!!
Hello, thanks for watching. Obviously you are entitled to your opinion, but this video wasnt meant to be demeaning. As I've stated, the first part of Jaywick was very nice, as was the beach and the community pub.
Down seaway towards the 5 drug dealers if you got time to spare?!!
It's not the place it's how people have allowed empty bungalows to decay and move in undesirable to take over years ago Londoners flocked to jaywick all the coaches stopped there then the rot set in and now through no fault of its own it's a slum pity the council didn't step in with money instead of problems they keep shipping in
Hi Lizzy, thanks for taking the time to watch. I totally agree with you, Jaywick does have plenty going for it and potentially. It does need some investment from the council though
@@travellingeverard4326 it's got the most wonder beaches it's got the sea they kept it nice when Butlins was there people need to fight to get it back on track got a big caravan site there get some investment for it it must never die bit of East End history
2 pubs left was 3 only 1 nice 1 left the broadwalk if want drugs go in never say die pub drug dealers in there serious!!
Hardly the most deprived area in England lol.
I dont think its too bad, but its been named the most deprived area of England, multiple times in the past few years
Where is enforcement? lol ts criminal the way landlords are allowed to keep the properties.
Hi David, thanks for watching. I totally agree, they shouldn't be allowed to get away with it.
not much there, even at the best beaches in the UK, there is hardly anything exceptional.
Thanks for watching. The best beaches in my opinion are in Norfolk, Cornwall, Wales and Scotland. Where about's are you from?
Good grief.
Very condescending, laughing at how other people are having to live.
Hi Edward, I wasn't laughing at how other people live. Some of the properties in Jaywick were very nice. Its the Landlords of some of the properties that have a lot to answer for!
Amusements all gone poss hol sites put them out of buisness council sooner waste 8m building the sunspot cafe!!
Council not care run it down get cheap rents!!
Tilbury worst jaywick no2
All these blogs on jaywick are so boring now all the same!!!!!!!!
Deprived. LOL. The cars parked don't reflect that at all. You should go and film some northern England towns. That is REAL neglect, deprivation, and hopelessness. There is no graffiti, for a start.
It does not look too bad to me
The first part of Jaywick was actually quite nice, as was the beach. Will definitely go back to the beach next summer. Thanks for watching
@@travellingeverard4326 there are parallels to where I live in Italy , we have an old tower, most of the houses here originally built illegally, but anywhere near the sea and especially a beach the price of property will go up, this will be amazing here one day people are spending fortunes improving the houses 70% of cost paid by the government, remember the name "Torre Chianca"
Way better then many run down areas in the USA. Some have no running water or indoor toilets.
