My Dad has a Purdue #1 fixed blade. One of the few he made. He is a Bowie fan and this knife was to be part of 6 knife set that was never made. Have documents from Mel and his picture with my Dad. I'm putting this her because you are one of the few I have heard ever mention Mel's name.
Small metal pencil sharpeners (some have extra blade attached with tiny screw) make amazing tinder for starting fires... plus they are a tiny blade in a pinch.

Most of the tools out there are unfortunately hot pink, bedazzled, or horribly bulky. I would love to see anything sleek, minimal and effective. Anyways thanks for all the satisfying content.

The small prybar/bead combo is a Jens Anso mini bar and what looks like an Audacious concepts Smiley bead. The other unknown pry looks like a Lynch NW to me.

I have a huge question! I have a Silex Gear Jet Pen, great pen, except for the fisher pace pen refills! I’m just not a fan, and i tried to put a Zebra F701 refill in there and it didn’t fit… Any recommendations for a refill the same size as the Fisher Space Pen Refill?
I need help finding a new knife if anyone is willing to give suggestions. I had a bench made 9400 but broke the tip and I just don’t know if I want to spend the money to get the blade replaced or get a knew knife. I’ll be using it for work so it needs to be strong and I would like for it to be automatic opening but that’s not mandatory. Also I have decent sized hands so nothing small. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

I love how much you appreciate a used tool. I feel strongly that tools are made to be used. Shelf queens are a head scratcher to me.

The first gear photo the pen is a Machine Era Classic I’m 99% sure.
