    People watching his highlights now gotta understand how much of a god send he was to the Aggies. We had just come off a massively disappointing season where we chocked away half of our games. Lost our final game against our most hated rival. We were a joke going into the SEC. Most people thought we were gonna get slaughtered. Nothing will ever beat watching this unknown freshman step in and lead us on that magical season.

    To everyone saying the majority of the video is him running, keep in mind THAT'S BECAUSE I CHOSE TO EDIT THE VIDEO THAT WAY. I could of just as easily loaded the entire video with only his passing plays but I thought the running plays were what made the video more exciting. Manziel was 2nd in the SEC in total passing yards in 2012. Only the internet trolls could try to discredit a Heisman trophy winner. 😂
    What's also crazy is this highlight video was made all from plays just in his first 6 games. #JohnnyFootball

    god damn...I remember watching his college year, I remember it like it was yesterday. I was 12 years old. I'm not much of a football fan, but he was probably the most electrifying quarterback that I had ever seen. He was unpredictable, quick, witty, just everything you wanted out of a quarterback except for the fact he was small. Then the off field issues happened and yeah. It's really sad that a player of this high a skill set has become such a joke and it's all his fault, I'm not going to sugarcoat it. He had the potential to become a great, but he fucked his life up and he's feeling it now.

    This is to judge knocking his 40 time. The 40 yard dash and game speed that is quickness and elusiveness with full pads on are completely different things. We haven't got to see much of him yet. But his very first Drive in a regular season game I didn't see any linebackers catching him as he ran up the middle into the end zone. He will most certainly be a good runner when he becomes the starter. The only thing with Johnny is can he take the hits. Will he be like Russell Wilson and run wisely or be like rg3 and get hurt running. He can run as well as Wilson and is a better Passer than Wilson. And Wilson has a super bowl. What it comes down to on if Johnny will be successful in the NFL is if he can withstand injury and how hard will his work ethic be. If he watches a lot of game tape and practices to improve his passing and form he will no doubt be an elite qb. He has the talent. And the people that think he stinks and will be no good obviously do not watch the NFL and have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. Why are you even watching the guys highlights if you are just going to be a hater. The kid can definitely pass. NFL pro scouts for pro teams would not have told their team to draft him so high if he couldn't pass. In the end of their careers he will no doubt be the most successful qb in this year's draft class

      Wtf he's nowhere near the passer Russell Wilson is Tf lol 😂 russell has a way stronger arm, better touch & when he wants to he can throw a cannon. Johnny manziel is not faster than him, not smarter than him, not quicker them him & not more deceptive then him. Wilson is the Ultimate Duel Threat QB besides Aaron Rodgers. Look at his game on right now they shut that johnny football shit down. Please don't ever say that he's a better passer again. Go search up russell wilson highlights & pay attention to his throwing rather then his scrambling. You sounded dum bud.

      YelaDuck Other than you, who with professional knowledge knows about his arm strength, and says it's weak? He was hitting 60 yarders with no problem. I guess you lose arm strength when you sign that contract huh? On pro day having the arm strength means nothing, so why even throw it? It meant something to all the other 30 nfl scouts, coaches or assistance that came there from other teams to see him. Means nothing? Is this just according to you and those you associate with....in your gym class? If it was on and you were in your living room, it would of meant more?..Why bother telling us just where you were sitting or spending your leisure time? Is this relevant to the point?

    • @jedlindorff
      @jedlindorff 10 лет назад

      thetexanfan It's no secret that Johnny Manziel is a really resourceful QB but if we're talking basic QB skills, his arm strength and accuracy are average at best. These kinds of things can be worked on but if you haven't noticed, most of his TDs are rushing touchdowns. Just because he can throw 60 yards doesn't mean he can throw 60 yards with continuing velocity and pin point accuracy (which he can't). i'm not trying to knock Johnny Football but it's pretty obvious that passing isn't his strong point.

    Too many concerns to be #1 overall. He hasn't shown consistently that he can stay in the pocket and deliver a pass in tight coverage. The system he plays in is notorious for getting wide receivers out in space and in areas where the QB can just throw it to a vastly vacated area and allow the WR to make a play on it. When he is getting blitzed in the NFL, I'm not sold that he can read the blitz before the snap, identify a hot read, and deliver a pass in tight coverage all in 2 seconds.
    Besides all that, his running around could get him in a lot of trouble with potential injuries. He's not the biggest/bulkiest body to play QB. If he wants to run around and get hit, it could come back to bite him. I wouldn't take the chance if I am the Texans.

    • @ClaytonElkins1985
      @ClaytonElkins1985 10 лет назад

      ***** You can disagree with me but it doesn't mean I don't know what I am talking about. I never said I did know. Obviously I don't run an NFL team, but neither do you, so your opinion means as much to me as mine does to you. I could be right and I could be wrong. I will say that I think there are a lot of experts out there that share some of the same concerns I have. They've been widely discussed. Just don't act like a badass by telling me I don't know what I am talking about. I left every one of my concerns open-ended. You don't see me saying that he IS going to be a bust. I'm just saying I am skeptical.

    • @ClaytonElkins1985
      @ClaytonElkins1985 10 лет назад

      ***** And since when does "destroying" the SEC guarantee that a player will be a standout in the NFL? You think Trent Richardson is a standout? Or Greg McElroy? How about Kareem Jackson. Sure, they may turn out to be decent pros but being standouts in the SEC hardly guarantees anything at the NFL level. Besides, the SEC is overrated. Two teams annually who are legitimate preseason championship contenders and the rest are good enough for 6-4.

    • @OtotheZzie
      @OtotheZzie 10 лет назад

      Clay Elkins Johnny Manziel can out run many NFL athletes such as veterans who are old and can barely run. for example: Tom Brady can out run defenses at scrambles at points, why make statements on a player who know one can compare to, give me the same stats,same team,same DNA and i will believe everything but you cant judge someones else's mind to another.

      This is Manziel's 2012 highlights, I really hope you're not judging his entire potential NFL skill set from this video. He can't stay in the pocket and thread the needle? Clearly you haven't watched both Alabama games. Running will get him 'killed in the NFL'? Yeah I haven't heard that 999 times before, Manziel will adjust accordingly and will slide/get out of bounds more often. Even if so he is quite possibly one of the most elusive and improvisational quarterbacks I have ever seen

      That was said about Tim Tebow and although he didn't run like he used to in College, he was actually able to run for some good yardage in many occasions and he posted a 4.7 40 yard dash, way slower than Manziel.
      I don't think his scrambling ability is in question, what we should consider is his ability as a passer. Which Tebow has almost none and that's why he is currently without a team.
      Tebow is a big QB, a guy who can take hits and break tackles. Manziel looks small, if he scrambles around too much I think he's going to get injured often, like RGIII.

    100% agree with you AirAdeaga.. I heard for a long time that Cam Newton would never be able to run in the NFL like he did in college. Umm, could someone please let me know what Cam Newtons rushing yards are right now for the short time he has been in the NFL? Yea, Thank you! Manziel will do just fine in the NFL. A lot of people are just completely hating on this kid because they are sickly jealous of him. Keep the highlights coming Manziel. You're the author of your destiny!

    that throw at 3:33 is the greatest throw in college football that year simply because he threw it at the very millimeter of where it needed to be caught, and the receiver was running full speed at a slant and didn't have to slow down or adjust to the ball..... he caught it and didn't break stride. He's unbelievable

    I couldn't agree more! No one is asking these people to see him as a role model! What he does off the field is no one else's business! We are supposed to watch him play on the field, and as long as he is playing Johnny Football, no one should really even give a crap about his off field personality! He isn't hurting any of us with his actions!! So, calm down w/ ur hate, and just watch him play HIS game! It is so addictive and exciting to watch him play!!
