Timing is Crucial!
1. Take a step from the table
2. Pause and Accelerate
3. Aligning the ball
I have been playing table tennis for 14 years, and the advice from this episode still benefits me so much. One thing to look out to is that you should pause in your multiple training as well--lots of time coach has consistent shots, so you are used to that tempo. Some times you should slow down and tell yourself that the balls is yours, take your time.
Thanks guys. I played your dad at the Maidstone tournament, Dan, and he picked up that I was rushing my shots. That slight pause is something I will definitely be working on. I tend to do it more when I play good players because I am trying too hard.
Hey John, awesome stuff! Hope you enjoyed the Maidstone I miss playing down that way. Yes definitely, when you play a player who is higher than your level its easy to rush your shots and end up forcing. There is a lot more time than you think, and it can be better to slow down your shots and rallying with the opponent.
Love the video. One of the best things you can do for timing is the Chinese concept of "in pai." Pretend the incoming ball is connected to your paddle with an elastic string and pull the ball towards your racket before beginning your forward stroke.
lol, someone has been watching too much emratthich...
@@Waingro808 you've got to give him credit for bringing this concept up. It's super helpful

Very nice video!

Thank you guys. Nice video.
No problem!
Thanks 😊
Thanks you
Dan well done with the vid
Thanks for these pointers! Very helpful. Can you do a video on how to create space and align one’s body if the ball is returned at one’s body/elbow?
You have to bend your body to your weak hand side and play the similar shot. I'm no expert, but I guess that should work
Can you please do a video about how master your bh.and what are the important things to concentrate while doing but counter, and topspin
can you make a video over what type of bat, rubbers one should buy?
Awesome
Nice hair cut dan!
I've learnt table tennis without a proper coach and have developed some unusual technique. I play close to the table shots very well as i use my wrist 9/10 times for both forehand and backhand shots. As a result, my wrist has started feeling some pain more often now. I've started practicing using full arm at forehand side but little hesitant that it would likely affect my game. Do you suggest something for this sort of problem?
Thank you channel tabletennisdaily
Soo cool🏓
where you guys practicing at 🧭👏🎊🎉🏓🎨🌈🥰🙏🏼📸🎥🎬
Can you elaborate on how and when to do that pause? I don't know how to have time for that unless I am playing quite a bit back from the table, or the return is fairly slow.
Can u please show how u change grip between forehand and backhand?
Oh man #2 is me so bad. Great vid!
Thanks Beeray!
Saved to have some practice, thanks. When can we expect a practical review of Icecreams ?
Hey Anton, the Ice cream review will be out very soon, stay tuned!
I wish they could review the Nittaku Acoustic blade.

Finally sorted your trim out
I really didn't want to... peer pressure got the better of me 😂
👌👌👌
Wonderful.. thank you for the great ideas !
Our pleasure Riding!
Good film :D
Thanks!
Please do the review of the sanwei target pro
Cool buddies. Want to see behind the back top spin trick shot. Please teach us.
Haha will look into it :)
Please review the ma long h5 blade please!!
Mav Vam Very fast Fang bo 2 better than long 5
@@ahmedtotti9708 bro, i dont care if its better or not. If it doesnt suit the player than its not a good blade for him. You cant say fang bo's vlade is better. If it was, why isnt ma long using it? Get me bro? I want a review not an opinion.
what about the first part of the timing? before your stroke...you need to move. the timing of when to move (first), the timing of the backswing (and speed of it), the timing of when to move into foreswing (and speed of it) and the timing of the body torso turning and weight transfer in all of this ^.
I always mess up in match . but while normal counters accuracy is good but in match i always get tensed up anything for this 😅
Please make a tutorial on forehand loop
Hey RRR Program, we have the Forehand Loop tutorial on our website: tabletennisdailyacademy.com/videos/the-forehand-topspin/ Thanks for watching :)
What equipment were u guys using in this great video !!!!!
Hey Rhoari, glad you liked the video! :) I was using the Timo Boll ALC with Tenergy 05 on both sides. Tom was using the new Xu Xin Dynasty blade with Genesis both sides. We will be releasing a video of the Dynasty blade soon that's why we are both trying it in practice atm :)
Can’t wait thanks
Can’t wait thanks
Can’t wait thanks
It's all in the footwork guys. These theories are all good when the ball is played at the same pace and position but fail miserably when the ball catches up to you. With correct footwork and always playing the ball in front of you you will create more time and space in a game. Fantastic fitness and fantastic footwork is your way foreward, hence the timing improves.
Can you tell us where exactly we have to pause , by making circle in the video. So that it will be more clear.
Hey! The small pause should happen at the end of your back swing which then allows you to accelerate into the shot
should i hit the ball at the top of its bounce or right after the top of the bounce?
Jongmin Choi hit the ball at the top of its bounce but it is a little difficult. you can try it right after the top,it is easier to do.
Hey could you please suggest me a racket to buy for Aggressive game. I prefer fast racket also would like to have spin on it.
Hi Palash, you want the fastest raquet then try a Butterfly Sardius Tamco 5000 , it's the fastest blade available. Use Butterfly 64FX on forehand(Red) and Butterfly 80 on backhand (Black) and you'll have the quickest gun in the world.. But beware, you will sacrifice control so you'll need lots of robot practice. Have fun, oh wait... This is going to be expensive!
TTD is the best 👍👍👍
😍
Hi please can you review the Jun Mizutani zlc and Zhang Jike zlc not the super versions. You could invite Liam Pitchford again as he uses the Mizutani zlc now instead of the viscaria
Hey James, sounds great we will look into it. I am interested to into why Liam changed from a Viscaria to a Mizutani ZLC, it for sure seems to be working for him right now :)
Thanks for considering my idea guys👍
Focus and stress go hand i hand as newbie
I just started playing table tennis at 29. It's really so much fun to do with your friends but i'm the mooooooost nooob amongst them XD
Hey I’m guessing you still play what bat should I get and table?
I will play for taluk level
It’s common Euro technic base. China aspects is different.
Dan, could you make a review to the new Harimoto Tomokazu Innerforce ALC Blade?
Top of the bounce, always top of the bounce.. well, what if the top of the bounce is at about the height of my head? In situations when the opponent does a high-arching topspin from the distance. How am I going to topspin this ball back on the top of the bounce?
Besides, it's way harder to topspin a backspin ball on the highest point than when it's falling.
He literally says at 5:55 that different shots have different timing points.
@@Sam-ek2ro Yeah but in the video it seemed like the perfect contact point is on top of the point 95% of the time
this is Timo Boll 1o1
HI
Shouldn't be pulling your bat backwards for a backswing. You should be pulling it down and rotating your hip backward. And Dan, I see you slapping the ball a bit because of it. And without moving anything, but your arm, just draw a line from your backswing through your whole swing...It's not a straight line, as it should be. Your arm should just be going up and down basically. The elbow closing is all that should be happening. Of course, you can angle the wrist down and release it as the elbow closes. But, I'm just talking basics. Anyway, your hips rotating is what should give you power. This is how you can get a lot more spin. Then, you'll be able to hit the ball much lower with a ton more power on it as you get used to swinging like that because the added spin allows you to hit the table with a lot more pace on the ball. And since you're not slapping the ball, it can be hit lower. Slapping tends to hit the ball upwards too much. It's hard to get consistency on slaps too. This is also why you get beat by spins too. You would be able to counter spins a whole lot better if you weren't slapping the ball
I'm a coach. Email me at coachwickham67@gmail.com if you want to get a lot better, Dan. I've seen all your matches several times and a lot of your hitting for reviews. I can improve your game so significantly that you would be amazed. Just by talking to you a bit, I guarantee I can get you playing at a way higher level
A review of Sanwei T88-III, PLEASEE.
Play with pongfinity
Timing timing timing 😎
Please post a video on tt shoes
4:41 legend says he is still pulling out balls from the pocket
i didn't understand
Avoid reaching forward because you lose the upward motion that creates spin.
Make a raffle
In video the opponent is giving perfect ball to perform that shot but in match they don't
this are the basics men you can then go into the match and try to implement it
I can't hit the table ;-;
Very bad. But come on to Crash your shoulder. Its not right Topspin.
Ice cream review please
Coming very soon! 💪
And if you do, can i request same rubber on both sides so you can tell if it really has a different feel. Im kinda sceptic. :D
@@edmunddefelipe1817 we reviewed it with the same rubbers both sides 😁
Nice! Ty
