Watching Harrison Barnes drive to the basket and finish with a slam reminded me of when one of the anouncers, Jim Barnett, used to use that same move from the triple threat position to drive around defenders. Barnett was a master of that move and extremely quick with his first step and could drive to the hoop on anybody. 💯
I would be hurt if the NBA didn't have to rig it by suspending Draymond. They wanted to give Cleveland a chance it totally shifted the momentum. I don't consider that a legit choke.
Yep, I remember watching every game as a fan. Each game toward the end of the streak got closer and closer. Once that narrative around the streak is developed every team, even the bad ones are gunning and giving that extra effort to stop the streak.
For the younger audience: This team revolutionized the modern NBA Proved 3-pointers are a winning formula in basketball. Had their small ball "death lineup" of Curry, Thompson, Iguodala, Barnes, and Draymond at center that sacrificed size but made up for in versatility. Perfected a pace and space offense that many have tried and failed. And obviously, Stephen Curry. These Warrior teams were truly special.
Showtime Warriors!! Probably the most talented NBA team. So many of the players on the Warriors and the other teams during that historic run, are not even in the league anymore. Shows the longevity of Stef, Klay and Dray.
and then once again a couple years later. also i dont understand the premonition behind losing a finals and being considered a failure. youre still the 2nd best team in the league. some low iq thinking
No matter the outcome, this seasom validated Steph greatness winning b2b MVP and the only unanimous MVP and the best record in RS wins ever in the history of NBA! This season was special!
I've never seen a team do alley-oops as much as this Warriors team/era, let alone being really successful with them. They should try adding that into their game again and see how it goes.
So when all set and down. Steph Curry had best regular season record 73 wins. Best playoff record 16-1. Best final record 4-0 and longest winning streak for season opening 24 wins. Y'all questioning his leadership?
This whole season was poetry, even the blown Finals lead and Game 7 loss. The most entertaining single season I've ever watched of any team in any sport. Maybe the '86 Melts came close.
Their system and play was ahead of its time. Teams had really no answer with their onslaught of 3s and ball movement. Nowadays every team are immitating this and trying to increase the 3pt shooting volume.
These dudes were KILLING teams. Alot of the time the starters were getting pulled in the 3rd up 30+ points. I remember watching games with my dad, just hoping the score would be close so I could see the big 3 play in the 4th.
This is the time, that they changed the the game of basketball forever 😮💨 Steph’s unlimited range and unanimous MVP year Klay’s elite shooting and defense Dray’s defense and erasing all the slow big man era. That’s why we have jokic, embiid and other bigs who can pass dribble the ball Warriors depth Kerr and the coaching staff broke the game play by just jump shooting and fast pace of the game Whole other 29 teams are not ready for this kind of pace that time, that’s why they’re all got blown out and few years later they adapted it LEGENDARY 💯
Gsw are back to thier best, good people on as assistants (Terry Stotts,Stackhouse) 11 to 12 bench deep, distractions are not present as before, Draymond is dpoy candidate, Curry is Curry, they are most legit team in the west to me
Warriors is the living proof that you don't need to chase historical records in the regular season and end up falling short in the finals. Warriors starting and bench line up is banged up due to their chasing of that 73-9 record. LeBron observed that in Game 4 as per Richard Jefferson's interview. The reason why they made the greatest comeback in the history of the NBA. Maybe that's why when they acquired KD they can 82-0 that 2017-2019 nba regular season but chose not to. In able to preserve KD, Curry, Klay, Iggy, Green, and Livingston. Too bad KD still injures his Achilles.
@@imikeyirock11 To be fair Kawhi set that load management trend. Lol Fortunately Warriors became Champions again without KD. which validates steph's ability to led a team to a championship by winning the finals MVP (Although I think he deserves the finals MVP too in their 2015 chip). plus what he did this year in the Olympics sinking those faith of the universe shots for team USA in the semis and for the Gold medal. What a way to prove the doubters and specially the haters. haha
You know I find fascinating? The Warriors went on a 28 game regular season winning streak that began in the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, and ended there. The Basketball Gods were like, if thats where the streak began, THATS WHERE ITS GONNA END! But between those two games against the Bucks was a stretch that I don't think any team will come close to again. What the Warriors did during that 28 game winning streak was borderline insanity. They not only beat teams, they hammered them into submission in lethal ways. That was the equal of you playing NBA2K on rookie difficulty, and the computer playing on Legend difficulty. It was unfair on most nights. This was the Splash Brothers at the height of their powers, and what they did during this streak, changed the game forever. Now you're seeing so many teams go with that 3 ball heavy attack because they all want to replicate what those Golden State teams from 2015-18 did. Many have tried, but no one is ever going to be that potent from long range, the way those Dub teams were.
Any neutral unbiased fan watching finals that season will see how referee tried to force game 7 in the finals after warriors took 3-1 lead. Finals are all about momentum and a lesser team can beat the best team and that’s what happened . Warriors without their centre in Bogut , Draymond suspension and phantom calls for Curry in game 6 paved the way for Cavs win in game 7. The way game 6 was officiated and Draymond was suspended which has never happened in the history before or after that ,I knew Cavs are going to win the series at warriors in game 7. I always wonder how Bron gets the excuse of injuries in 2015 but warriors don’t in 2016.
And now the Cavs have a 13-0 record 💀 i would be mindblown if the team surpasses the Warriors undefeated 24 wins & even end off with a better record than 79-9. I know for sure the 2015-16 Warriors are the better team. Unstoppable. 🔥 💪
Not hating… but it didn’t mean a thing without a ring. Good old times with a young splash bro team =) and then we got KD too and ran the league for 2.5 years haha
What tf made this team so dominant I mean this was before they had kd, they only had 3 all stars and they weren’t even a superteam, it amazes me how dominate they were but no clue how they got so dominate and blowing teams out by 30 in the third quarter, what was the solution?
I was there for the Warriors/boston celtics game. it was friday night. I bought 4 tixs and treated my 3 best friends. They jinxed me and the Warriors lost.

The Bucks crowd the next game had 24-1 shirts, before 2021 that game was the closest thing to a title for them since Kareem.
