It all began in the year 1961, with those four line stanza beginning with "Jathi - Bhedam."......for the movie
"Kalpadukal" which was written by the well known Poet, Saint and Social reformer , the great
Sri Narayana Guru . Yesudas' maiden entry in to the Malayalam Film Industry as a play- back singer began
with this song as he did not have to look back since then. Here came the birth of a singer with a Godly
gifted voice , which got mass acceptance from people belonging to all walks of life. Sri Narayana Guru's
blessings definitely came as a shot in the arm for Yesudas , the singer.
I am finding it difficult to get an answer to a question which is erupting from my heart. The question is, Is their any one singer, with whom I can compare our great singer Yesudas . This question remains with me unanswered for a long time. In the end , I came to the conclusion there is no one in the musical circles as tall as this great musician. Yesudas is beyond comparison !

Rishid Abdul Assis not to do anything because Yesudas has the ability than any other singers in the world so people adore him...not only mallu,he showed his versality by singing in many different languages as well as many ganres which cannot be made by other singers...its not becauze he is mallu..do remember that..god's gifted voice makes him loved by people all over the world...
@Rishid Abdul Assis if you remove your hate from him....you can understand his ability....I'm nit saying he is the greatest singer in the World....but he is above your stupid statement..... outside Malayalam....he has succeeded in Tamil....Telugu and also in Hindi industry (76-82)....only very less songs in Bengali....but all those were great songs....he is a Multi-lingual talent ...which even CNN recognised in 1982.... certainly one of the greatest Multi-lingual singers in India....no doubt....his voice is adaptable to almost all generes..... Classical or Semi Classical or light music or qwaali....or even Hindustani music....no doubt....and bagging awards also needs talent....he is not playing to win awards...but singing....so bagging awards is definitely a talent....and he has done that outside Kerala a lot times.....I don't know why you hate him....if it's his attitude...then ok...he has done certain bad things....but as a singer your statement is a big zero...

six decades, he is the only singer who has sung several songs which turned out to
be super hits, he is the only singer who has sung songs in several Indian and foreign
languages, several movies tasted success merely because of his songs and so on
