Hey Dixie I love this new channel. I’ve been looking for the old one for absolutely ages. I love cheerful pessimist too but I love your videos. The fruit machine emulation guys are so different to the fruit machine collectors. I love them too don’t get me wrong but I feel the people that are in the emulation scene educate people more than just playing machines which is good because I’m more into the engineering side of the machine you know like how the software is run how the reels of run all that type of thing. I love that video you did about how Barrcrest poorly programmed the machines. And I love how you simulated how buggy they were. I can’t remember which videos they were offhand i’m not a programmer by the way. I did own a fruit machine it was sweepstake club in a big shot cab. But I just love how those things how are you talk about the guts of fruit machines. And I love how you demonstrated that time when for me I am autistic and visually impaired. And as an autistic your videos answer a heck of a lot of questions. Question is which cheerful pessimist never covered. Like what happens if you pull the plug on a machine I love that demonstration. Also what happens when a machine crashes. I didn’t know that fruit machines crashed. I know that computers register the reels and I know that Rooms registered the software for the Game and the decals and all of that. But there’s other stuff which I’ve only just found out. When I was a kid growing up I thought that fruit machines were just as good as video games obviously I think so different now because of how technology has come on so much. And that was something that you covered in the interview with cheerful pessimist. Also wasn’t there is somebody who emulated a fruit machine for the C 64 but it wasn’t quite finished. You probably didn’t have the Commodore so it’s probably something you can’t really answer but I was just wondering. Keep up the good work I love watching these Vids on RUclips if it wasn’t for you guys I think I would just have to go into arcades and watch people play fruit machines but without being tempted to play a fruit machine. Nowadays I walk into a pub feel the buttons on the fruit machine see what the make of the fruit machine is and type into RUclips. And pray to our Lord that Cliff Cook or Dave Talk has uploaded those fruit machines so I can hear the sounds and watch the lights. I’m just wondering if you could put a raspberry pie inside the fruit machine and run the emulator. Keep up the good work I would love to see some of the video game stuff.Just as a sidenote I think there’s a Duke Newcomb game with a fruit machine in it but I can’t quote which one it is
