A #2 guard would have blended it perfectly to the top.
I feel like the sides could have had a smoother blend into the top but nice simple cut! 💪🏾

GAMING LEGEND Through the eyes of a barber, at the time of 8:47 and so on, you can consistently see guidelines and dark spots that have yet to be taken out. And in the final rotation, at 11:26, you can see a faint line around the head, that is noticeable to others. In being a barber, clients shouldn’t leave the shop with no type of detail work that has been done.

Left a rough line all around the top should’ve used thinning shears and blended out the sides some more

We use to give a lot of haircuts like that at the NCO club barber shop I worked at in the mid-late 60s. We charged a buck or two 😁

All Algerians barbers use only one clipper
For anyone questioning this haircut or method he used to do the fade . You guys need to realize jake is probably one of the best barbers in RUclips. He can do a perfectly blended fade. Now with that said this fade wasn’t perfect but that was done on purpose. These type of fades are called condensed fades and are very popular right now. They’re also very difficult to execute. The whole point of it is to have darkness and heaviness throughout the blend . It’s supposed to leave a faint line.

This is how we do it in Brasil - most barbers here only utilize a single clipper along a detailer and shears to get any kind of cut done

Not saying much dude. This channel seriously lacks talent. I've known for Awhile he struggles with bald fades, but to see here he can't even give a clean #1 fade saddens me.

As a barber myself this is a pretty botched haircut

But the guide lines aren’t even straight
The only thing that this customer would make him think it’s a top haircut is the sharp edges and him getting recorded on for a RUclips video.. but hey that’s just my opinion for a video it should be cleaner than that

Aight so a lot of people are bashing the haircut without giving any constructive criticism.
I think the biggest issue lays with the top fade. There needs to be more room to fade with maybe 2 more steps. Your first guide line was with the 1 closed, then you set the 2nd guide with the 1.5 closed. I’d have come back with the 1 closed 90% flicking out halfway up to the 1.5 guide line. Then 1 closed 50% flicking out and reaching the 1.5 guide line. Then use 1.5 open as the final guard.
Also the fact that there’s all this 1 guard between the 2 main fades is off. Like what is this, a high fade with a taper fade? You can’t skin taper the neck then do a high fade later up. It looks so wrong. I mean it may be what the customer wants, and if so he has no taste. Like I can’t even call this a mid fade, there’s literally 2 points of fading instead of one of varied length. Either low fade, medium fade, or high fade. You can’t have 2. Sorry man I just want you to get better because your sense of humour is hilarious and you have the look. If this customer asked for this specific fade then he let you down.
