This is one of the most helpful video I've seen so far on this bike. Straight to the point, you share tips for services the bike. I really enjoyed watching you, underrated gem content right there. Ride safe
I’m planning to go electric in the near future and have watched lots of video reviews. Great to hear comments about longevity. Most and just test rides from new. Being a relatively new budget Chinese bike I was wondering how well the bike lasts over time. Thanks for sharing.
Hi love the videos some great information in there. I'm getting my bike in about two weeks. I followed your link for the 10A charger, forgive my ignorance as I know nothing about electric's but does that 10A charger need to be customised to fit the bike?
The terminal voltage needs to be reduced to 83v. There's a pot inside you can adjust with your multimeter connected to the output of the charger. titimus.co.uk/super-soco/charging
Thanks for your speedy reply, my two week delivery has now gone out to possibly early next year so Ill wait and see what is on market when and if I ever get the bike. Thanks again.
Nice, bit of a disappointment to see the rusting on the frame tubes. Were you riding this in the winter and or rain? Mine is a sunny day toy only and is 300 miles dusty at the moment, I'm reluctant to wash it after seeing this....
I wouldn't worry too much. Yes I rode it through winter. The paint finish isn't the best. The foot pegs and stand are starting to flake a bit too. Think they're aluminium though.
@@thecapacitator8137 interesting to see that, mine is one of the first batch of tc max so worse in many ways like i aint hitting 55mph ever - but the frame still looks in good nick after riding through each winter since i got it in 2019
Hi thank you for thr lengths and efforts to make these videos. Very helpful. Just wanted to know if you had any further details about what adjustments need to me made to the bike to accept the 10A charger, if any?
Great info! Just bought mine and, for now, my only complaint has to do with some squeaking noises I hear when I put some weight on it... Did you ever had this issue? Seems to be coming from the rear suspension... Cheers!
I'm considering getting one of these second hand... batteries have come down in price a lot, so even if the battery is a bit lame I could get another. I guess the controller has to be changed if you want to up the voltage - but do the wires all need changing too? Being electric there's not much else to go wrong. Any useful (and safe) 'hacks' always appreciated. Thanks.
I think the standard controller will go up to 90V. The high voltage wires are 6AWG. Have you seen my video about the difference between versions? ruclips.net/video/A6WHyStV8QQ/видео.htmlsi=rA9kVGbcbFwW8jQd
Hi, Im changing rear breakpads on my TC on wedensdady. I would love to have a guid on that. Understand that its just in a few days, but it dont hurt to ask :)
It's much the same as any motorcycle single pot sliding caliper brake. You should be able to find a suitable guide on youtube. Don't really have time to make one myself at the moment, sorry.
ACF50 should be any bikers goto, ive seen £14k BMWGs1250's start to rust after just a few months, and so do the new Triumph Tiger's, so dont be too hard on this one rusting, AFC50 will take care of that, and dont forget lights are also part of the regular service, I had one myself, but sent it back after 4 months, i was getting no more than 40 miles with just mode 1 only and mode 3 i was getting 25 miles, no where near the 60 miles claimed, gone back to petrol for now, hope to invest in a battery again when the range is better
I'm surprised you only got 25 miles out of the battery. You must live somewhere very hilly or very cold. I got about 38 miles in mode 3 with the standard battery.
Fantastic video mate, I do have a question, how do you wire that 10amp charger output to the old 5amp charger plug, so it does not over charge the battery, Would you share with me?
I'm interested in the long tern reliability of one of these bikes. I'm contemplating getting my bike licence and getting an electric bike for my 48 mile round commute (charge at work). I could be doing access of 10,000 miles per annum which might start causing myself some maintenance headaches
Hi interesting video, as I am thinking of buying one? can you elaborate on the Solar set-up and cost if you don't mind? a new in-depth video would be great to learn from someone who knows. thanking you IAV
@@thecapacitator8137 (Thanks for all the Vids u have another subscriber). I have had issue with the front brakes. I have had the bike since November 2021 and it is a perfect commuter bike. I do 20-30 miles a week and ride on 20, 30 and 40 mph roads on the 4 mile commute. After 2 years I noticed a reduction in range and speed which I had initially put down to colder weather. With a friends help, I had a look at the front brakes, took them off and the cylinders have started corroding. Currently working on repair/replacement :-). Loss of "App" access after 9 months was also frustrating but as i said earlier it is still a perfect commuter bike all year around. Thanks again for all the videos, I would love a brake service one as I have not found any yet for TC Max (working off a vmoto TC which looks to be same as max brakes).
@@CmdrPom Hi, thanks for the sub. I'll get round to a brake service video soon hopefully. I would pump the cylinders out a bit and give them a good clean. Then work them in and out a bit until they feel free. Remember to push them evenly when you press them in. I just replaced the sim card in my bike. You can get a pre pay sim. Don't take up a payment plan just add credit. Then the data should roll over. It hardly uses much data so will last for ages.
@@thecapacitator8137 unfortunately the cylinders are corroded and only one is currently working. The little cylinder in the middle isn't moving at all so going to have to get rigorous with that one! the two larger ones move but I had to emery cloth them to remove corrosion. My fault, riding over winter and not drying every last bit of it. I tried replacing the sim card on the remote but never got the app to work. now nothing I do on new or old app will allow the bike to register. various emails to supersoco/vmoto and fowlers in Bristol and no one replies or has any fix. It has been over a year since it worked. As long as the bike starts and stops I'm golden :-D
According to the data I've logged my bike is doing 15 miles per kWh. The stock battery is about 3kWh so 3x15=45 miles. The upgrade battery is about 4kWh so 4x15=60 miles. I've been riding pretty carefully though. I'm still logging data so numbers may change as more data is gathered.
@@thecapacitator8137 that's a lot of riding brother. Hopefully we're gonna see a change in battery technology here soon. Commuting to saving way. Stay safe out there ☝️🤟👽

Mines been fine so far. You may want to look at something a bit more substantial for that kind of distance. Have a look at the Zero FXE.
Dumb question, but what are the hex/Allen key sizes needed?
