I have skied for most of my life(skiing 36yrs of it) and worked at Copper Mountain for a couple winters as a ski bum. I consider myself a very good skier that can go to any part of the mountain, but seeing these guys doing the same and making it look easy always has amazed me!🤘🙏
Tough to run sleds in teles, in advanced terrain. Locked horns, dropping knees, cornice belays, sluffing snow, tail-roping in bumps… - much more efficient/safer in alpine gear. NTN bindings help, but I’d say you lose some efficiency in steep/deep/moguls.
@@NewSchoolTelemark Nothing to prove, lol! I just try to get the Px down the hill to First Aid in the quickest way possible - while being safe. Do you bring sleds down bumped black diamonds in teles?
Definitely the best style of skiing! I love my pin bindings!

That's awesome! I hope you're having a great season out there. Thanks for the kind words!
"free the heel to free the mind, lock the heel to ski the line"
Now that's a great substitute for leg day.
I was thinking, their legs have to burn after one slope :D
I want to try Telemark but seeing videos always reminds me I need to do more squats..
Nah, skip the squats and just get out there on teles
he nice wit it

Wow, very cool. Are you by chance ski patrol?

The tele skiers I patrol with absolutely run sleds on double black diamond bump runs.@@PDGX
Can you recommend a few ski a around 100mm under foot for telemark ?
I’ve always called those the calf killers but I snowboard so I don’t actually know if they do
Hits the quads a bit more
Can't tele at work as a Patroler in Europe, sorry.
I haven't seen skis like those where they pin only at the top what are those? is it easier for beginners?
has some foreign name. considerably easier for beginners. not even worth attempting to ski with heels locked down.
@@NewSchoolTelemark I went skiing for the first time last week and it was very hard, so you think having the no heels would be better?
@@chaotic476 no this style is harder. More room for error. With skiing you gotta feel it out and send it man. Don’t be scared!
Why would anyone ever alpine when you can tele? 🤔
Sorry but random question but what ski mountain is this I feel like I recognize it but I’m not sure
Sugarbush!
I f******in knew IT!!! I read this and thought that lmaoooo looks like east coast great conditions tho
Wicked good skiing
