Happy holidays! As a present I want a like on this video. Or check out my patreon: patreon.com/Homemade_ecoystems thanks! My gift is more crappy videos
A big thank you for getting me interested in ecosystems and learning more about small nature. Your fun way of presenting shows your interest and gets me into it to!
"now of course, im not going into real nature... that would be way to hard. Instead of that, I'm making my own nature... and for that, we have to go, in nature." that made me smile, great comedic timing! love your style dood!
You don't know why we watch? We watch because of Bob. That and the way you create such majestic terrariums and your moss placement is outstanding! 😆😉👍 Long live Bob!
I live in a desert and as a result of everything being different shades of pinkish brown i love having living plants shoved in my face. Keep up the good work.
actually was a bit of an eye opener for me. i've always just thrown my gum wherever outside and assumed it would decompose in a couple days. Lesson learned.
I love watching your videos with people around, because they always stop and go "What IS IT with this guy" and I get to remind whoever is near how much I enjoy your videos. Mostly Bob, but. It's Bob, how can you not enjoy them?
At first I misread the title an thought you where gonna throw a gun into nature, I was dissapointed, maybe next video a real gun? Kidding! 10/10 video!
I just wanted to stop in and say that you are really, genuinely funny. I stumbled across one of your videos and I thought you were so funny and clever that I sent it to one of my friends. Well done.
This channel has inspired me to look at the marvel of nature right outside my front door. I live in the southern part of Georgia (US) and this area was a coastal plain at one time so the flora and fauna is much different than the rest of Georgia. I just started building my first terrarium using soil and plants sourced from my back garden and I can't wait to see what grows.
I love this! Powerful message here ❤. Also thank you for braving the wild for us in the name of science! Not all heroes wear capes...but you probably do. Happy Holidays to you too!
Cool style of video. Also, isopods kick ass. My last terrarium had a big enough of a hole that all the rolly pollys I found escaped. They curl up when they die, I discovered.
Weird looks is a mood... when you're collecting stones and sticks people look at you like they are at the zoo. Also important message in the video, but I also enjoyed seeing it being built with all the moss and the little pond
As someone who’s always made sure to never throw my gum outside, I had no idea it could last 1000 years, I always heard/ assumed birds (or others) would choke on it
Honestly, this is a beautiful vivarium/ecosystem, and I love learning more about nature. One question I have though is do you ever use clovers in these? They don't grow indefinitely like grass, but I understand they may take over, so I just wanna know.
Love you hard work and dedication my man, The fact that you go outside to bring everyone these great video's blows my mind lol.... Now what the heck is that blue snail??? Hope you have a great 2024.
Bob is super cute! I’ve not seen a little round springtail before, and I have to say I rather prefer the caked-up springtail to the “standard” lean supermodel-esque springtails. I’m going to keep my eyes open for my very own Bob next time I’m out in nature :)
@@user-Ityrirz it's edible the way gold is edible - your body can't break it down at all so it passes through completely unchanged and comes out the other side the same.
I don't usually like videos when I'm told to, because I'm a rebel like that - but in your case, I'll make an exception. Excellent content as usual, you're probably my favourite ecosystem content creator - extra points for amazing sarcasm
Do you have plans to build a DIY pond by adding plants and small fishes? Would be nice. Also my neighbour thought i was urinating in the drain but i was just collecting moss
@@HomemadeEcosystems if this is feasable, you could add some carnivorous plants too. Gets rid of some of the soon-to-be-annoying-you mosquitos that way
I believe the mushroom at 2:08 to be a shaggy mane mushroom if it is then at least at that point in time it was edible, they taste really good fried, obviously you should eat a wild mushroom without 100% being sure of what it is though. Thought you might like to know what it was tho, also I’m not a licensed mycologist so my identification may be wrong but I’m fairly sure it’s a shaggy mane mushroom
I've always wanted to build one, but though it was too complex to keep and maintain. But watching your videos has inspired me to bring nature indoors. 🏞
Your humor is great you had me laughing for most of the video. I’ll definitely be subscribing and liking the video. Ima go watch more of your content now!
Happy Holidays! Because of you and your videos, I asked for, and received, a spider enclosure. Come spring, I intend to capture a jumping spider and observe him for a couple of weeks before releasing him back into my yard. Until then, I plan to enjoy the enclosure as a terrarium.

Just what I wanted! Thank you 😊
A crappy video what an amazing present. Thank you so much!
I would have subscribed twice! Love your vids, love your commentary. You always make me laugh!
Best crapy videos ever
I like that you included the cucumber slices I always see in natural environments. Nature is amazing!
I liked the way the spider escaped immediately.
He wasn't on the drawing.

Same here mate, today I learned something new.
Hmm if you learned that even your stomach acid can’t dissolve it, why can’t some dirt and worms😅

That is awesome! I also love seeing the animals and plants appear in the terrariums. Thanks again for you support on patreon, happy holidays!
I appreciate u releasing the beetle instead of just keeping it to see what happens
I love Bob the different type of springtail. I think you should use more of Bob's family when you make future terrariums.❤❤❤
Bro your videos are entertaining and educational at the same time I wish more ppl had that balance like you

That was interesting experiment!
Thanks for the demonstration!
I love your sense of humour. ^_^
I wonder if it would be different if you used a gum that wasnt plastic based (there are brands that use tree sap which can be rubbery)
there's edible plastic?
There are gums that AREN‘T gummi arabicum? oO

I’m here for the hilarious commentary and to indirectly scratch the Goblen urge to play with dirt and bugs.
That was an okay video. I liked the nature. Make more of it.

Happy belated holidays! Left you a present and not at all in the way my dog would. (Left you a like) Loved the moral message at the end.
Thanks for the information and laughs!
I like how the video's title is only 15% of the video's content. The rest is you building a terrarium.
I like the bugs you incarcerated for your potential noble prize experiment. I don't think I've ever seen in that type of moss in Houston Texas.
Een 9 voor de spreekbeurt! Je had een 10 gekregen als de video 15 minuten had geduurd 😂😁.

I love it when people have the same silly humour as I do, so keep practicing and one day you might get there.
Dude I love your videos 😂 Best commentary by far
Once done, do you put something on top of the terrarium to cover it, or do all the insects stay inside because they respect your authority?
Yes it has a lid but it has holes. It is mostely to prevent the slugs from sliding around in my bedroom 😅
