    Great analysis brother! Super helpful for premeds and high school students and even as a first year medical student at mac myself, this is insightful- keep up the grind and hope you enjoy residency man!

    Thanks Darren. Watching this for my kids. I guess i'll need to have a lot more money saved to help them.

    Hi Darren, thank you for the cost breakdown. Can you possibly post a video for older non-traditional applicants. I am non-traditional but cannot find anyone I can relate to. Some questions on how successful applicants with kids managed the workload and family life? Which schools are more accommodating towards non-traditional applicants. How do med schools calculate first and second degrees. Also, can you make a video on Queens and Schlick medical school? Thank you!

      Hey Tejinder! Each medical school will have a different process for how they handle first and second degrees. There really is no standard convention so you'll have to check their admissions page to find out!
      I'm probably not the best person for non-trad advice but I can say I've seen plenty of non-trads come to medicine with families and they do quite well because of the maturity and life experience they bring!!
      Best of luck :)

      Hi Darren, thank you for getting back! I’m glad to know that age is a benefit! Another quick question, I hear people say that you need to keep applying, you won’t get in on the first try or the second, is that generally true? Thank you!

    Super helpful vid. Is easier admission really the only pro to going to a US medical school?

    Heyyy I really love the way broke down everything for a better understanding thank you, but what about international students trying to apply to Macmaster University Medical school, will the tuition fees and overall fees per year be more expensive or still the same?

    Did you do the IB or AP program in high school?

    • @DarrenChaiMD
      @DarrenChaiMD  2 года назад

      IB but I dropped out in grade 11 because universities didn't care if it was IB or academic, they just cared about the final grade I got in the course!

    What other career options were you considering other than being a physician?

    • @DarrenChaiMD

      I thought about engineering, actuarial sciences and computer sciences but ultimately chose medicine because I do enjoy the person-person interaction!
