The Murdermobile. Love the Testarossa, one of my favorite cars. And I did have this car on a poster in my room, but not on the wall. It was on the ceiling above the bed so I could look at it before going to sleep.

Wow wheels and body kit really set it. For sure Koenig got it right with this one, unfortunately not so much with the 348.

...One of the for ever unicorns....These days...just getting only the rear wing made by Koenig for your Rossa...mission impossible...About year or two ago one of these Koenig Testarossas (dark gray with racing interior) but even turbocharged up to 800hp were for sale in DE or DEN ....for € 220k.....

This wasn’t a “production car” remember the RUF yellow bird was faster. But not a production model.
@@vrcmf3172 the 1990 Callaway Corvette Sledgehammer (a twin turbocharged version of the standard 300bhp car) had 800bhp 772lbft 0-60 of 3.9 and a top speed of.......wait for it.........255mph!!!! The standard Corvette had a 0-60 time of 5.7 and a top speed of 163mph. Again, not a standard production car though, a tuner car similar (but way more agricultural and basic with zero thoughts into how an extra laggy extra 500bhp and 400+lbft over standard might completely change and utterly overwhelm the already backward car) but WAY more moronic than Ruf who actually put thought and effort into their complete car conversions. Most worrying of all is that these cars often ran standard suspension (leaf springs! Truly baffling in 1990 anywhere but the backwards US haha!) and standard brakes! In a car that now had a top speed nearly 100 mph higher! So a sports car already known for being way, way, WAY behind anything in the Japanese/European sportscar market of the time but with way more power and a considerably faster top speed than the future McLaren F1! Sounds like a recipe for an undriveable waste of time and money and a car that only the medically INSANE would even THINK about haha!

The “sledgehammer” replaced the tub
Moved the engine even more back, took out all safety features. Also the callaway that hit 254 was not one you could buy. It went one way not 2 ways also removed mirrors so less drag.

this unit is Restomod ready. Nothing under 700whp. for the moment I claim that 1000hp are only in the german advertising... My senses doubt that this white Tr runs more than 450hp

on that car there in not much from koenig specials ! ! !
the rear wing ( no need because the testarossa itself is a wing ), the wheels/rims ( and even those are not koenig, another aftermarket ), an other exhaust ( looks and sounds like fuchs? ), the koenig specials sticker at the back
but still original engine, original brakes, not even a wide body ( so still original ), original suspension
I have since more than 15 years a koenig special competition, the only car with 1000 hp and narrow body ( so also the fastest car I think ), former the test car from willy and walter koenig. and that is a real koenig special car, not this what you now talk about
