Nice to see the CMC praise. I’m old enough to remember when this podcast said the CMC trade wasn’t good.
Brian glossed over Wink's question in true homer fashion, but #1 negative is that they have a $15m cap hit in 2028 when he's no longer on the team (they can spread that out until 2030), #2 risk is that now they're locked into CMC's age 30 season (dead cap is $13m, cap saving $-1m). #3 risk is they're locked into his age 29 yr even if he were to be out for that season from an injury ($26m dead cap & $-16m cap savings).

Wink seeks to be shitting his pants over the Niners ability to sign Ayiuk. Personally I don't care if they sign him or not cuz regardless the niners will still be good. Big difference between not signing Ayiuk versus not able to sign Bosa. Bosa would hurt the team way more than Ayiuk not being on the team. Receivers are replaceable and they're contracts are getting crazy and why when good receivers come out yearly in the draft
