why does he sound like evh
How should a guitar be set up? Every company has a certain "set up" that is consistent. That's just the way they leave the factory. If you like the strings buzzing on your guitar playing open strings and the amp doesn't pick it up it's right for you. If you like acoustic action on an electric it's right for you.
The cost of a setup will be the base price of the guitar. Better buy reputable brands with actual QC
I had this exact yellow RR LP model from Ali Express on my bench a few weeks ago. I did a fret dressing, bone nut, Switchcraft jack and a good set-up and it was fine. They have 2-way rods, so you can get the neck to anywhere you need it to be. Pop in some decent pups, and it can be a decent player. It was definitely gigable, but shamefull to say the least.
Didn't know Randy Rhodes was chinese. I think the tool needed to fix that guitar is a sawzall.
"Rhoads"
@@robbyv101 Yes of course.
Sawszall!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 got that right👍
Ha ha ha ha
THE HARBOR FREIGHT MUSTARD EDITION...IN THE FIRE WOOD DEPARTMENT!!
A $500 Les Paul Custom that isnt perfectly playable? WHAT? Curious how much you charged to fix this thing? I was thinking about buying one...
Man , the nut nasty looking.
Hang Chow’s version of Landy Loads guitar
ABMO Rose I think in Chinese it would be “ROR”
Guiseppe's_Bass 😆
That’s what she said.
Landy Loads Res Paur
Well ... it LOOKS pretty cool. Hang it on the wall 😃
I know, musical instruments look good on the wall. But what if you get confused and put the real Gibson on the wall because the chibson plays better.
Buy a new Gibson and have it set up by a good luthier.
Buy a new knockoff and have it set up by a good luthier.
Is it worth paying $3,000 more just to have your headstock snap.
“ I’m gonna need a deep tool”
50 years from now, that will be a collector 😂. Vintage Chibson $50.00
I’d buy it if im still alive lol.
Les Paul costume 😂
Dave says *RANNY ROSE* the way they do in China, later in the video as he is losing hope. 6:35
Probably $250 or something including shipping. You'd probably not want to see the wood under the paint, but if anyone has ever tried to make a guitar from scratch, not bad for the price.
if you can make a guitar from scratch, then you have a good chance of being able to make these things usable.
If a buyer is looking to get something of actually quality that is priced below Epiphone, they should be looking in the direction of Harley Benton.
I bought the Harley Benton standard strat and it was a friggin' turd. Shorted out pickup, misaligned bridge, super sharp fret ends, etc.
@@Nomadicsage1 thanks for the feedback. All the ones I've seen reviewed have been solid. I haven't investigated Thomann's return/exchange policy. Did they sort you out?
@@rcoveyduc They were telling me to fix it myself and they'd refund me $25 lol.
@@Nomadicsage1 That sucks. I'll admit I've only seen the reviews of the SC's and the Pete Thorn knockoff, as those were the ones that interested me. Like anything mass produced, there will be bad ones. Shame they weren't more accommodating.
You get what you pay for. When you factor in the cost of setup and replacing the crappy parts, there is no bargain to be had here.
Theses things are just good for wall hangers😜
Makes for better firewood!
