I would like to see Ulrich use his white Strat for this tour. As cool as he has got the effects going with the sky guitar I feel it would sound more like what I believe the scorpions fans want to hear. The way it sounded in 1977.... that would be really cool
A lot of it was the amp. He called it the beast. I saw many of the greats. But when I saw Uli in 85 I walked out into the street across from Wrigley Field in Chicago and people were talking and cars were going by and I heard nothing. I was on the 2nd floor and was lucky to have the wall to lean on and the sound waves came directly at us. I heard a whoosh and cymbal clang until noon the next day and slowly got my hearing back. But it was the amp and it was crystal clear. Hiroshima sounded like the LP except better right from the start where it sounds like an old planes propeller winding up Amazing. In 2004 he did Vivaldi and it was just him and that was mind-blowing as well but different. He grew.
Uli Jon Roth was the master of whammy bar effect in the seventies and he is still the master as we have been seen in that video from 2017 and he's far from being young, i was lucky to see Uli live as a guest of the mighty Scorpions, 40 years after he left Scorpions and he is as good as ever, this man is phenomenal, thanks Tim for sharing and God bless the unbelievable Uli Jon Roth.

A lot of awful comments on this. Some people just don’t understand that this is the END of Fly to the Rainbow, and he’s ALWAYS went crazy with the whammy bar at the end. Rock on Uli.
This is why you get compared to Hendrix. Too much whammy noise. It's not good for your career. Killed Frank Marino too.
