Or making fart noises on stage in this very video, that's totally classy and will endure the test of time.

Anyone else see the oxygen tank and think "Is David Blunts making an appearance?" Then I realized there were actual talented musicians on stage so my question was answered.
Bizarre Festival, 2000… now THAT is Mr. Bungle in all it’s glory. This feels like a diet version. For a killer version of this song, watch that concert. Happy to see they’re playing some of their classics though.

So yesterday I went to a friend's house and as I walked up I could hear him playing his banjo inside; for a second it sounded like he was trying to do the chorus guitar part on banjo. So I said, "you playing my ass is on fire?" And he said "what's that?" And I said, "you know, that Mr. Bungle song?" Him: "No idea." So here it is the next day, and what is waiting for me in my RUclips feed? "The phones are listening!"

They did that, for their last tour. Problem was, it was VERY dependent upon backing tracks and large-scale samples - they would probably have needed ten or fifteen musicians onstage to perform it truly live. Note that even this has taped keyboard parts.
My God what a masterpiece..I got to.see them do it live back when it first came out and they played goodbye sober day so effn hard that the mains in the club caught fire and we had to evacuate while Patton directed the chaos using only profanity and the monitor speakers. I was not concerned. I had just seen Mr. Bungle. And let me tell you this: they matched the sound of the recordings but with the emotional intensity and buzz of live performance. I have seen almost all the heroes of the late 80s thru to.the mid 2000s and the musical inhabitants of Patton's dystopia are at the top of.the pyramid. The man is a maniac. Such fine music is made in the shadows of hell-Bukowski

Finally they're playing the stuff people like the most. And it seems age has started to hit Mike hard. I know hes been through some tough sh1t lately, but he's always performed flawlessly in the past under any circumstances.

@@_Majoras He developed a bad case of anxiety & agoraphobia during the pandemic, bad enough to have to cancel a whole FNM tour. He doesn't talk about it much but he did get therapy and must be doing a lot better to be touring again
