- On Wednesday, Johnny Depp continued his testimony in the defamation trial. Day 2 - Part Three.
Actor Johnny Depp is suing ex-wife Amber Heard for $50 million for defamation in connection with Heard’s 2018 Washington Post op-ed, although Heard’s article did not specifically name Depp. Amber Heard is counter-suing Depp for $100 million.

As a DV survivor myself, listening and watching Johnny's testimony is very triggering. I cannot imagine the strength and courage he possesses to sit there and recount all the details of the violence inflicted on him by this woman who proclaimed to love him for the whole world to see and hear. Watching her micro-expressions when he is talking about the 'headbutt' incident - I see pure indignation and zero remorse on her face. Disgusting. Amber Heard is a violent, narcissistic sociopath and please PLEASE let Johnny have his justice and peace.

Same the audio tapes were even harder to listen to. My ex husband literally said verbatim some of the things she did. The fights were identical. As well as the day I realized the person I fell in love with and married, never existed it was all an act. Johnny said this same thing to Amber that is when my tears started.

I was concerned his life was in danger when I heard she was irate about not being in included in his will. The ensuing argument where she was responsible for cutting off the tip of his finger and not stopping her rage to get him medical help is chilling.

The case isn’t to prove whether she hit him or not. He needs to be able to prove everything she is saying about him is wrong.
If you look at her while he's explaining his side of the story, you can tell that everything he is saying is true.

There was a moment earlier in his testimony where he basically calls her a liar, her face didn't change and neither did her breathing, now I was a victim and someone said I was a liar and I knew I couldn't speak my face would say it all and my breathing would speed up from the anger I'd feel
It was so embarrassing how Rottenborn was trying to trap JD in technicalities. They have nothing. It makes AH look even more guilty than she already was.
That’s why it was good that Johnny rambled on. If he just answered with simple yes or no he would be trapped pretty easily which is exactly what her lawyers want.
Depp's lawyers should have carried on until 5pm, and then rested, or even carried on until tomorrow morning with a couple more questions. The jury would then be going home with everything Johnny said today, but his lawyers gave the defence a chance to plant those technical seeds in their heads as they were headed home.
And Rottenborn is right to do so tbh. If Johnny admits that this case is about more than just the article, it's game over. It was actually pretty good lawyering considering I don't think they expected to get their chance today.

Now they can advise/coach JD and JD can mentally be prepared for more of the same tomorrow. If this had begun tomorrow, he'd be blindsided and probably have had a worse day than he had today, and for longer. All things considered, I believe this is good news for team JD, except his handling of the last 15 minutes of the Cross

I was in an abusive relationship for 8 years. I'll tell you what I didn't do - I definately didn't chase him from room to room, banging down doors to try and continue the argument after he hurt me. In fact I would try and do exactly what Johnny did and the result was that almost every single door frame in our house was busted because he used to kick in doors to get at me. If Amber had the strength I have no doubt she would have done the same. The lies this woman has told make me sick.

Same. I would always “run off” to the bathroom just as Johnny did to try and escape the rage and fury but he always managed to unlock the door because it was just some generic locking mechanism. I always associate the bathroom as a kind of escape from reality.

Left and even went back trying to make the marriage work. I too had been married before. I was determined not to fail again. To try as hard as I could to make the marriage work. So many problems. I know exactly how that feels. Realizing the person you fell in love with and married, never actually existed as a very hard thing to deal with.

I tried my best to go into this without having a bias and started listening to this just to figure out why they are even in court. And I’ve heard both parts up till this point and those audios she literally said “yea, I started a physical fight” which as a DV victim her started a physical fight if she had really been hit before she would NEVER start hitting him first if she knows how it feels. I’m open to hearing the rest but that’s very telling, in my opinion.

The MOST BIASED judge I’ve ever witnessed and no one can tell me otherwise. If Johnny loses this it’s definitely down to that even he knows it you can tell he’s getting frustrated rightly so the lawyer didn’t even let him speak or finish his sentence.

By the way she treats grown adults publicly and then lies, I'm actually worried for her baby. How do we know she doesn't treat her baby rotten too. That is literally one of my concerns I brought up in conversation when talking about her and the trial. Whoever is the father needs to immediately fight for custody because she is dangerous. While she may not be able to knock Johnny Depp over (as she once noted), a child is small and defenseless as you said, and a child won't be able to stand up for themselves until teen age at the least. It's terrifying to think of her being a mother, she's the cruel monster and she isn't self-reflective or sorry in the slightest.

My Heavens....... Johnny went over to their house to collect his few precious and personal belongings the day after his Mother passed away and to tell Amber he was going to file for divorce and that all he wanted was to be able to end it with her without any drama. I have to say, props to Johnny. I don't do drugs and just listening to this woman made me want to swallow a bottle of pills to drown her out. He really did marry his mother. I had no opinion of Johnny prior to this, but I have to say, he has excellent jury appeal and seems to be a genuinely good man who has a big heart and likes to take care of others, which inevitably leads to others taking care of him. Sadly, he will probably never know who really loves him or who loves his fame. I feel his pain.

As a person who for four years had to deal with a narcissist and manipulative person, hearing all of that just hits me in a delicate spot, you can clearly see all the signs that indicate that she is exactly that ,you can see how she belittles him, and denies any of his statement, making him believe that he's the one who's always wrong. when you live in such a situation it is very difficult to understand what you are going through and you go into an endless loop, the ongoing quarrels and the emotional and mental manipulation just makes you blind to the reality. I'm sure he made mistakes along the way too but the intentions behind it all is what counts, and it hurts me to hear about all the situations he had to go through.

The judge is biased (I first noticed it during Christi’s testimony), which may have an unfortunate effect on the rest of the trial. His attorneys are also pretty crap if the judge’s bias wasn't already enough of a disadvantage for JD. I hope he wins this case despite the mentioned setbacks for an abundance of reasons, but also, for one, it'll possibly deter people from making false allegations like this in the future.

I can see and feel the pain Johnny is feeling, I believe him. When Amber takes the stand she's going to give the best performance of her life and I hope everyone sees through it. If he loses this case, there's legit no justice in this world. Either way, I hope her career is destroyed for good. She's a monster. I was in a dv relationship with my ex and had court. The first thing they tell you as a domestic violence victim in court is to NOT look at your abuser. Do NOT look at them nor make any type of eye contact. It also makes the abuser feel irrelevant to be ignored and it's all about standing in your power. Notice how he barely looks at her at all, ive never seen a dv victim react like her

There was a motive the moment she sent a message to JD after he told her that he will file for divorce. That day May 21, 2016, was a trap in order to get something out of the Divorce, she was not letting him go that easily because, in the first place, her plan in marrying him was to reach the level of success where JD was already in. She was using him from the very beginning as a ladder to success.
