This game looks like it should run at 120+ FPS at those settings with a 4090.
Yup looks like a last gen game tbh
but you are in a time where "optimation" is not needed (said by developer)
Looks is one thing my dude. Then you have to factor in Resolution, Settings and the whole open-world aspect which is taxing on a system, its not about what you perceive to be able to run at 120fps
@@dafyddrogers9385 pfff, your type of people are so tiring

Couldn't wait for your video. Thanks. 👍
nice thanks for the fast upload for this one!
Graphics are very nice for a Bethesda game but I've got to say, all those loading screens are a big step back compared to many other open world games.
Being able to fly on and off planets seamlessly like in No Man's Sky is so immersive, especially compared to what we have here, loading screen when entering the solar system, another when landing on the planet, then another one when exiting the ship and then again when entering an indoor area...
I'm praying for those who even attempt to play the game on an HDD.

@@Bang4BuckPCGamer Which is surprising since I dont think the visuals are all that impressive. Lighting seems really good the rest is kinda alright.
DLSS should have nothing to do with this game's performance anyway, that's just an excuse for doing no optimising of the code.
Feels like graphics card is struggling all the time to make some damn sense of the code that it's reading, which is why gpu use is at 100% but you still get shit for serving because the code is muddled and stitched together with duct tape.
@@Bang4BuckPCGamer No one is surprised. Shocking production.
Frame gen would be perfect for this game.
whats the monitoring software?
I have a 12700K, 5600mhz CL36 DDR5 RAM and RTX 4090, nothing overclocked and get the same native fps as you do. So that means this game is heavily unoptimized. I recommend using DLSS mod to boost the frames, it looks even better! Frame Gen mod is also possible now. But I have to use reshade tool to fix the elevated blacks because the game just looks so grey to me. Specially on an OLED screen. Blacks are not blacks if not fixed. I hope they add proper HDR and fix this and fine tune the performance. But this will not happen over night after release.
Based on other benchmarks that I have seen, once you hit the new atlantis area there appears to be a massive bottleneck for nvidia cards where fps just plummets compared to the AMD counterpart. This only occurs at the ultra preset. Not sure if this occurs in other areas but it is something to be aware of. Either way it looks like another game that will be brutal for anyone that isn't top end. Mid range and low end PC gamers, I feel for you now.
Are you talking about cards with less than 16 gigs of memory? And at what Resolutions? There are so many variables young man you seem to either be leaving out or simply not thinking about, like so many of this generation...There's always someone crying because they can't come to grips with what they have and wanting dream performance instead of working with what they have...so sick of the moaning and groaning of the Gen-X and Millennials.
@@chrisbullock6477 Just do a simple search on youtube and you find various benchmarks for the game already. Benches that show the game is perfectly fine for even 8GB GPU's. I have done my research, have you "young man"
4070 in New Atlantis is very playable, don't remember the FPS but very comfortable. I don't care AMD cards have "more".
But the game itself... feels modern and dated at the same time.
I guess if it's Vram limited like a 4080 vs a 7900XT or XTX, but the Nvidia cards spec-wise are more powerful. However it is AMD sponsored so who's to say they aren't purposely nerfing Nvidia, because they blocked DLSS, so we can't deny that possibility.
@@chrisbullock6477 This game barely uses vram. I haven't seen it use over 6gb, even max settings and 1440p
I think FSR 100% render resolution with the default 70% sharpening looks better than Native setting. You loose a few fps though turning on FSR 100% though
7900xtx with the same settings?
What is it with Bethesda and ambient occlusion? It looks completely flat! They still haven't figured out how to do lighting properly.
Well, looks like 8GB is all u need after all lmao unlike some youtubers would like u to believe(it's the same in latest UE 5 titles like Immortals of Aveum, Fort Solis and Remnant 2 the performance is the bottleneck and not the at least 16GB of VRAM!!) and nice video btw.
Demanding but no stutters, that´s great. I Might consider using FSR2 Quality to get that 80-120 FPS in 4K with my 4090.
Fsr2 seems broken. Even less fps withthin activation
Avoid till official release, FSR is broken, I don’t gain anything from it
@@sirgareth5283 no its not. Use the slider above the settings to scale FSR. Works fine. 75% looks still better than native.
Not sure about this game but fsr is very good in 4k quality mode. Very close to dlss on most games
If you have a variable refresh monitor it’s a very smooth experience, I have a 7800x3d with 4090 & after 5 hours play there is no shader compilation or traversal stutter, the only downside to that is there are more load screens than in some other modern games.
Why it runs 70% more fps native than my 4080 with dlss3.5???

Game is absolutely incredible and runs great. Can’t wait until they get HDR fixed.
The game performance varies wildly depending where you are and what you are doing. But my time spy performance is at 37K+ as point of reference www.3dmark.com/3dm/98526451?
@@Bang4BuckPCGamer yeh I need to run another TS. That was when I first built my rig. I don’t run MCE either. Even with a Corsair h170i with 6 LL’s in a push/pull on the RAD, it gets to low-mid 90’s with MCE on during an r23, and the performance is plenty good without MCE on. I’m sure my benchmarks would be absurdly higher if I turned it on. My only beef with starfield so far is the HDR not working right though. Good news. I have the same GPU and the normal 5800x at around 4.4 GHz. I think I can tweak and use FSR for playable frame rate at 5120 x 1440. Of course that will require fiddling with game files to even display properly. Why would a game just detect my monitor's resolution and be adjustable from a menu setting? This is a Bethesda game, afterall.
Just FYI, running FSR2 at 100% scaling is about 15% more taxing than native res with no FSR/I guess is comparable to DLAA.
Looks amazing if you're wanting to test absolute max graphics settings.
But you would just be loosing performance for no real gain. If you are already scaling the image at 100% native, what good would it be to use it?
@@Bang4BuckPCGamer Marketing nonsense aside, it's just a higher quality AA. The main benefit is it is significantly better at handling frame to frame transitions than TAA etc.
