I really like this idea, I'm going to try it. What I have never liked about a Whisker Biscuit is that being an instinctive compound shooter I feel like I can't see anything when I use one. Great video man 👍👍
@j.f.t.4114 I would say prolly around 30 yards. I would try a farther shot if it was a monster but I would say I'm confident out to around 30 yards or so
@@BACKWOODSVET Oh nice. 25 with fingers is about my max. But when I use a release I can bank em in out 50 no problem even without sights. My hands are just so wide that I struggle shooting fingers.
I commented on your short before i seen this video! Lol! Tom had a pretty neat idea.. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks interesting! CHUBS! I LOVE IT!! 😂😂
Hello and thanks for the video. Are you really doing well with that rest? Does it hold up well to the paradox of the arrow when releasing with your fingers? Thank you.
Yeah it actually does very well. Look for more videos on a page called @tribedrake he does more videos and has awesome hunts and has that same rest. He is where I got the idea from.
New sub like the innovation can you possibly do a beginners guide to shooting barebow ive been kicking around the idea of getting a bow specifically for this
Yeah I got a video on my channel about barebow already if you wanna check it out for now but yeah that's a good idea. But check out that other one in the mean time. I'll try and attach the link here.
Hello. Another question please. With that new cookie rest, the arrow is placed right next to the hole where the push button would go, is that true? Does the positioning of the arrow at the rest coincide with the geometric center of the bow? Thank you so much.
I'm not exactly sure what your trying to say. Are you say like the Berger hole on the bow. Like the hole that is drilled for a rest on the bow? This rest has no push button or plunger. I think that's what your saying. It's just an enclosed rest that I trimmed the top off to have a more open sight picture for instinctive shooting.
@@BACKWOODSVET Sorry, I'm Spanish and my English is poor. I mean, once the arrow is placed on the rest, it is positioned right in the middle of the length of the bow from axis to axis. Thank you.
@manuelgonzalezzambrano1989 sometimes. But not always for me. I'm not sure how important that is or not. I'm not the greatest with the technical side of compounds. I don't know how much that matters or not. It makes a lot of sense what you are saying. But I honestly don't know. I usually just make sure I have good clearance for my broadhead. I'm sure the best way is to just measure and put your nock point in the middle and tune your rest to that if your worried about it being exactly in the middle. But I'd look into some one that does more compound for that question but I'll look into it for you and try and find you and answer and respond to you with a link to an article or a video for you. Now I'm curious too.

@@BACKWOODSVET what would you say your effective range is shooting instinctively with fingers?

@manuelgonzalezzambrano1989 hey no worries. Say it in Spanish. My wife is from Puerto Rico and she can translate.
