So I personally don’t think him not being able to remember the site they met on, when he willingly admits he was on multiple sites at the time they met in combination with his age, should be looked at as if it is that big of an issue. At least he’s not lying trying to claim he wasn’t on multiple sites or anything along those lines, I do give him a bit of respect for that. The rest of this case is just one hot mess though lol🤣🤣
This was a ridiculous lawsuit. I am so sick of people (men and women) suing for money💰/gifts🎁 they freely gave the other person when a relationship doesn't work out. If it was really a loan with expectation of repayment, it would have been in writing. As old and intelligent as this dude is, he should know better. Good verdict👩⚖️!!!
I disagree with the closets, she had no need for them, he did. He only had them built with her agreement and in their plan to live together. TVs are about $300 - $400 for a nice big flatscreen, so no big issue there, nice lavish gifts and something they enjoyed together for many months no doubt. He didn't try to sue for the cruise or any other gifts, but he wanted some reimbursement for the permanent additions to her home that only she will enjoy now.

She didn't need them, she wouldn't have done it if he wasn't moving in, so it was for his benefit yes, but that makes it all the more too bad. So, here's my take on dating sites. I've been on 2, both were free sites. I cannot get over how many 50 something guys I talked to that didn't have driver's licenses. If you are 50 or older, and you don't have a license (most due to a DUI) then chances are good , you're probably never going to get it back. There were also guys who broke up with someone, and just wanted to flirt with someone. Women get a bad rap for talking about their exs, but guys do the same. I did, however, meet my fiance on there.....mostly out of sheer luck lol. I did learn a valuable lesson, nobody likes to be rejected. I used to be ignorant back in my 20's at the clubs, shooting down guys that came up to my sister and me asking to dance.....now I know how it feels to send a message to a guy, and have him ignore you, or just send a one sentence answer to your question and never engage with you again. Karma's a bi*ch lol.

While I agree with the Judge's decision re the burden of proof, I believe that the plaintiff was telling the truth. If he was not, I believe that he would have been asking for her to reimburse him for the cruise.
For the Plaintiff- if the Defendant indeed said she would reimburse him should the relationship not pan out, then he had the chance right then to say, "Then sign this!" or even just send a text that night recapping with, "Per our conversation earlier today you said..." and then he'd have the evidence. To say, "how do you say that to someone" seems like he's lying.
Honestly. It's not that hard. Just a causal text like, "Are you sure you want to pay for this if we break up?" I do tend to save the "per our earlier conversation" for people I'm not sleeping with though lol.

I knew a girl who went on a dating site some years back and was "dating" this guy and it turned out he was married with children. The wife found out about it and threatened to kill her. That's crazy and scary. Dating sites aren't for everyone. I know just meeting someone the old fashioned way can be just as dangerous.
