Great review.. Glad the L200 become better and better. I like Mitsubishi also because they had great history in racing ("Dakar Rally" and "World Rally championship"). Mitsubishi are sometimes underrated from people including me before, but from my own experience with my relatives, I had opportunity to drive and also become passanger in the pajero Sport for long journeys and i'm feel comfortable & feels not too tired better than in my honda CR -V and toyota Fortuner(in fortuner sometimes i feel dizzy & queasy , maybe because of the suspensions & body movement). And pajero sport's horsepower & torque are great enough for overtaking on the motorway and climbing/ hill roads, & Fun to drive also. But still every car has it's own weakness, test drive personally or with freinds or family.

Now they just need to get rid of all that fake chrome crap. Toughen up the look a bit.

Have you heard of the number of issues with the D4-D Hiluxes? I'm yet to hear of the 4D56T-HP engines failing as bad as that. They are solid engines, and I'd expect the same from this newer 2.4L. They don't "suck" and are brilliant utes, no need to exaggerate the Hilux when it isn't the best, by far.

***** hello sir how is the new engine in triton because our strada(localname) still get the trusty old 4d56 170hp because our diesel fuel grade is not applicable for the new engine heck we still got the sohc 8v 4d56 for our l300

+Kartik Naidu Actually you are wrong. The toyota D4D has had a lot of turbo problems.

I definitely wouldn't say Toyota is the best, the D-4D engine has had a lot of injector problems . How could you know this engine not last long haha? It's only just been released.

Veggie Absalon From my knowledge they are quite reliable, I have only heard of a few injectors failing in a couple of trucks, but these were replaced under warranty for the owners. I can't say I've ever heard of enough problems that they would be considered "common". With any newer diesel, fitting a pre-filter that removes water and sediment is vital to the reliability of the fuel system. If you have any 3.2 (4M41) Tritons in your area, I'd get those! The 4M41 are absolutely legendary, they have very few problems and those it does have are easily fixed (timing chain guide, EGR blank). Join the Pajero Club of Victoria forum, it has brilliant information on there, and the PB/PC Challengers share the same engine as the old Tritons. Also see if there is a good Triton forum - that was you can get an owners perspective on them :)

I,m all about practicality working in the trades, all these vehicles are shit , Mummy,s and Daddies should be banned from having one. I,d give my right leg for a 4wd with 2 cupholders a comfy seat and a build that can do a days work in rough conditions. i stopped looking at these things since about 1995. The day the patrol and landcruiser stops being made will be a sad day.
