We love 50's Prime Time! I think the fried chicken is my favorite. The shakes are very good as well. We love the Aunties and cousins who make the visit extra special.
I love 50's Prime Time too! I went there recently and was the first family of the day! We got a certificate and our photo was on the refrigerator for the day!
Did you notice that the classic sitcom clips on the TV’s were all themed around food? Another great touch to one of Disney’s most unique dining experiences. And yes, our kitchen in our 1960’s suburban New Jersey home really looked like that…Formica and all!
We absolutely loved their cornbread & could have eaten two pans of it!!! We split the sampler and enjoyed every bite of it. We were so stuffed!!! So glad y’all enjoyed it!!
that sampler plate could definitely feed 2 or even 3. I would suggest trying the apple crisp for dessert. I love it and its one my favorite desserts at Disney
You can get the pb and j milkshake at the bar too which we have done. I will send you my meatloaf recipe too. You should try Whispering Canyons at Wilderness lodge. Same kind of situation…so much fun and great food. Ask for Ednique if you go for breakfast…she’s awesome!
I’m 73. Born in 51 and lived the 50s. No setting can replicate what it was really like. We were so much safer then, we had just crushed the Nazis and the South Pacific dictatorships, the world respected America. And, yes, we were disciplined and (mostly) well behaved at home and in public. Love how you listened to your auntie. Note: our home decors weren’t quite so schlocky. I love the concept. The 50s were wonderful in Western PA where I grew up. PS. The concept of “time out” did not exist. But mom would occasionally strip the leaves from a small switch from the tree out back and lay it across our upper legs when we got lippy or strayed out of earshot from home. Didn’t hurt us a bit.
Well, I wouldn't necessarily say that the home decors weren't quite so shclocky, when these things you're seeing in the cafe, are actually FROM the 1950s. So in fact, yes, they were... it just depended on who was doing the decorating. There was old school 50s where you have some things mixed in from the 30s and 40s, and then you had the newer space age side of the 50s. You should know this.
Looks good and those prices were fair. I always compare these in park restaurants with Dollywood and the food quality/quantity/ price was very similar.

That’s awesome! Will have to get the shake next time! We were full!

That’s a fair comparison! Theme parks will be a little more but the value here was good!
👍👍
Thanks!
