As vinyl had dried up in the charity shops to amost nothing ive started collecting CDs again. A great way to listen to music in the car. And cheap! Great haul by the way.
I still sometimes stumble across the odd record worth buying but most of it is overpriced junk but you cannot beat CDs for value at the moment. And yes they are great in the car! Cheers!
Hi Graeme, such a good haul , you mentioned my video and they very all in excellent condition in some cases looked unplayed .. my charity shop( mill ) has a media department selling CDs for £1 which for me is a great deal .. but I’ve discovered a separate building where CDs are 6 for £1 .. the staff have said they’ve so many they just want to get rid of them which I’m more than happy to oblige .. I even went in my local YMCA they do 4 for £1 … I’ll always buy records but sometimes walking out of a shop with 2 records for £50 can be off putting .. great selection this year might be the year of the cd .. I even bought 3 2024 releases in the hmv sale for £6.99 each Thanks for sharing 👍

The Grateful Dead CDs are good finds. American Beauty is when they went Country but Anthem of the Sun is very psychy. Hope you like them. I still buy CDs but hardly ever find decent ones in the charity shops.
I haven't played them yet but I will do soon. Been too busy testing out my new (old) tape deck! I live really near the centre of my town so I am literally 5 minutes away from at least half a dozen. I am always in and out of them which is why I can pick up some decent stuff fairly often.
The 4 Grateful Dead CDs are all good. Anthem Of The Sun is one of their more psychedelic albums. The Amy Winehouse debut is great. Almost as good as Back To Black.

What was that repetitive noise at the start? CD related? I always check CDs and am probably more fussy with their condition than vinyl. Nothing wrong with them at all only that they cost so much originally......

Cheers James! I have never paid for Spotify so I have no qualms about buying tons of CDs! I probably do spend more a month than Spotify costs though.

@ The Grateful Dead are certainly not for everyone. I think you will find all four albums to be a bit different from one another.

@ I have 3 CD players and only one works. The CD player car won’t eject the CD. I’ve had the same CD in the player going on 2 years.
