That was so epic that during that performance I got cancer of the inner ear, went into remission, was totally cancer-free, and then my eyeballs rotated 360 degrees up and down and then left to right, I learned to dance, and then forgot how to breathe. Holy shit. I'll never watch another cover of that tune. 100 percent owned that song. The Dead should just sign over the rights to you guys. Jerry is probably in heaven, ashamed he even bothered with this song, going "what the fuck just happened?" My family is still giving you a standing ovation, and I'm watching this on my phone with my headphones on. That performance deserved a mic drop. You all should have burned your instruments and flew out on jet packs, confident that world peace has been achieved. I am so inspired, I'm going to write the next great American novel after i change my underwear and wash my sheets. Thank you! I don't even smoke, but I need a cigarette.
This was the second ever JRAD show and my first (of countless). I knew right then, even if it wasn't perfect, that they had that magical "lightning in a bottle" that had been missing from GD cover bands all these years. They are The Best at interpreting the music of the Grateful Dead in a unique and beautiful way that no one else has. They breathe such new life into the music that's been missing for too long.
I love Russo! Always so much going on in his playing. And I agree - a BEAST on drums in the very best sense. (There's always a part of me chanting "AN-EE-MAL! AN-EE-MAL!" while watching him...and if you don't get the image right away, watch the Muppets some time. :>) )

Josh Riggins awesome
these guys know what they're doing and we are so fucking lucky to be here to enjoy it.
Best review I've ever read. I was at this show and I think you may have enjoyed it more. It did change my life though, seriously.

you can see his hand cramping around 11:45 haha
Omg, you're right! Poor Joe - playing himself into cramps to create amazing music.
They’re awesome they should do originals too
fan fckin tastic.
convinced russo is an octopus
I think they should leave out the final lyrics, just as the Dead themselves did.
is the dude with the hat Metzger or Hamilton?
Hamilton has on the beret and glasses in between Russo and Benevento. Metzger is on the far right.
FTP?
