Thank you for joining in with Gothtober and I hope you had fun! Sometimes books are simple and straightforward but still enjoyable as we read them, I am glad the bone houses could do that for you! I enjoyed the poppy war but haven't continued the series yet! I think I'm going to like the dragon republic even more than the first book. I have to read the haunting of hill house for school in december so I will be curious to know what I make of it. But it's good to know the supernatural is more abstract... I think I'll like the focus on the pyschological as well!

the Burning God is better than Dragon Republic so there's that to look forward to! And I think Rin's anger is handled a bit better in that one

That’s good to know, she was really starting to get on my nerves. I get if she’s angry but if this series is supposed to be about the journey to dictatorship she doesn’t have the tact that makes me buy into it
