  • Fort Point Historic Site: Visiting San Francisco's Civil War Fort
    Fort Point is one of those places everyone who visits San Francisco should see. The historic fort from the 1850's is situated at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge and is fantastic for photos or just exploring. Do note that it is only open Friday to Sunday though so you can make sure you don't go when it is closed.

    a 1950s movie was filmed there staring Lee J Cobb called The Man That Cheated himself. Not the best movie but WTH. Fort Point looks the same in the movie tower and all..

    They Filmed the TV series Nash Bridges there in Clint Eastwood's movies Dirty Harry sequels and you was in the movie Star Trek 4 the Voyage Home the original movie from the 1980s it was also in two episodes of Star Trek Deep Space Nine one episode of Star Trek Voyager and it was in a pilot episode that was Never aired that was called Star Trek Yorktown it was also in Down Periscope with Kelsey Grammer it was also in V the mini series original 1980s he was also in Full House the reboot also the original TV series Charmed episode of Monk the TV series also it was an episode of the TV series Psych on USA also in the TV series sledge hammer also it was in the TV series Streets of San Francisco 1970s it was also in the movie The Presidio 1988 it was also in the movie Kuffs the movie Nine Months Princess Diary movie 2001 it was also in the movie 40 days 40 nights it was going to be in the movie Independence Day movie 1996 but they took that scene out of the movie it's in the director's cut it was also in the movie The Rock 1996 then it was also in a mini series and movie called the American Civil War starring the bridges family where governor of Idaho Declares independence this stuff came out in 97
