  • Even after sitting for nearly 7 months she fired right up (after a jump start). This job was a three acre tree clearing job with lots of obstacles (scrap metal, old tires, etc) to work around. But the ole girl performed well and done a fine job considering!

Well tell the wife the D6 is using oil and you need to replace it with a D9 .Because if you get a D9 you could spend more time with her because is twice as fast . That alone makes it totally worth it . I love your videos

*THE UNSUSPECTING!* What a great SALES video of your D6 to an unaware buyer! That machine is a WORKHORSE & someone starting out and "unexperienced" would be over this D6 like a HOBO on a HAM SANDWICH! HONEST YOU started the Video with what it 'will' need! But see how easy others can be fooled! GREAT VIDEO!

These machines are indeed beastly and very reliable. I have a D4H. However, I have not been able to use it for any major clearing yet. I could have used it on my last clearing job. I have a 6 way blade on mine. I keep busting the pins holding the C-carriage to the frame. The previous owner welded them for some reason. When I take it to the shop this time, I am going to have them re-machine the holes. See ya on the next one!

Yeah they are hard to beat for sure! Don’t have to worry about any regen or DEF fluid and I bet the whole machine doesn’t have 15ft of wire in it. Wow, that sucks on the pins! I’d rebuild the whole thing too! Thanks buddy!

I didn’t realize it had been that long since you had used the D6, once you got going I don’t think it sounded like you were operating at not much over an idle speed on the engine. The D6 is a nice all around machine for the jobs of smaller to larger in size. Pins and bushings coupled with grease ( which I know you faithful in using) are cheaper than a new or newer machine, at least when you repair or maintenance a machine you know what you have in the end. Thanks for the tag along vid young man.
