    What a beast of a machine. And thanks for showing the detail of the connection arms on the dozer -- That's something I hadn't seen and it sure does speak to how well it's engineered for hard core pushing.

    That machine sure is impressive. Has the brute force and traction of a dozer, but the comfort and agility of a skid-steer. What a beast. Excellent video as always.

    Funny you mentioned about the passer-by who just stopped and looked, without rolling the window down, because last night my son and I discussed that topic. Around here, the "stop and chat" thing is much more common than the "drive by and look" and he told me when working right by the road, this time of year, with only 10 hours of daylight or so, he'd like the way that guy did it better. Otherwise, a "one-day job" sometimes takes a day and a half, and if it's someone really "chatty" it make take a week!😁 Enjoyed the video and watching that machine, I've been curious about them since I heard about them a month or so ago. Thanks!

    I have been looking at all the videos I could find on this machine and still not quite convinced.. the price is steep and while I get that it's a lot of machine for the money it seems like you's still be better off with 2 separate dedicated machines. And that's coming from someone who works mostly alone and I like having swiss knife tools... my tractor and excavator are both as equipped with implements as I could to make them more versatile. Thanks for taking the time to film and share it all!

      29 patents cover this machine. Deere has a 333G Smartgrade with their own version of a blade. It does not lock into the chassis, and is more limited in operation than this. They designed that after seeing the prototype at ConExpo 2017. If they could have gotten around the patents, they would have copied it. So, it might be a while before you see any similar competitors. Case IH owned the patent on the Quadtrack tractors, and Deere didn’t come out with their until after the patent expired.

    What I love about Americans - please remember this is meant as humor having gained experience in The Philippines where "a carpenter" couldn't tell the difference between wall boards 12mm thick and 20mm floor boards and used a hammer for all those screws!
    Here's my interpretation ....It seems that when Americans want to move a 3000 year old vase from the China shop and that bubblewrap and secure box and additional packaging is 50 miles up the drive at your home but there's that bull standing there right outside....You wonder if it could work? What could go wrong?
    10mins later See it worked!
    Un................believable how that maple with that humungous root ball got taken out by a DL550 and a strong willed and determined American - amazing

    That Case and the dozer attachment is really good, I think it's definitely ideal for doing access roads and those metal tracks certainly help, especially with grip when you're trying to push over a tree. Lots of guys on RUclips and elsewhere have said there’s a bit of a learning curve to this machine like a week or so but seems like you’ve caught in really quickly Capt. That thing has some serious power, saw some over in Louisville at the trade show in October and they were impressive, but it’s all together more impressive “in the wild”. Hopefully we get more of this Minotaur.

    If the guy/gal looking to start a business similar to DP., (but on a smaller scale), this might be one piece to have, just for its’ multi-role/versatility. Steel tracks might be a drawback, but have to be factored in (be in the back of this buyer’s mind) to take full advantage of its’ dozer strengths.
    DP., having one of these can only be a plus., and then he only needs to weigh the cost of adding that asset to his fleet.., and I think he has some other things “cookin” that might have a higher priority.
    Great video,
    Thank you sir.

    Case works well, I like the combination of steel tracks & dozer blade, A bit of messing about to remove the blade but with it having steel tracks, It's going to spend most of it's life off road. It'd be ideal if you could keep it solely fitted with the blade & a rubber tracked machine for the bucket. All in all it's a great piece of kit.

    Steel tracks definitely make a huge difference when doing this rough in work, but a rubber tracked machine would still be better on finishing work like grading driveways and landscape. Those steel tracks would mess up stuff when you're trying to make it look pretty, lol. That said, this Case Minotaur is a beast of a skid steer.

    • @Sjanzo
      @Sjanzo Год назад

      Yes, my opinion too. Its a compromise on everything: Steel tracks dont allow driving on lawns or paved surfaces, and for rough work you dont need a dozerblade, the bucket will suffice. And for fine profiling, the dozer is too far in front of the tracks, it will skip and bump because a dozer has two more feet of tracks towards the blade.
