    I feel people underapreciate Sams reaction in this scene. Spike has the most emotional reaction, but Sams was briliant.
    Sam knew there was only one real option. Lou wasn't going to make it. Anything else would cost more lives. That didnt mean he had to like it. But he prepared for it. Dispite that, it wasnt enough, and he had to walk away. He was angry and sad at the same time, and all he could do was walk.

    This is the best show I've ever seen, right on par with House M.D. If this episode got to you, give the series a try, it's excellent. Also for the people saying that Lou could have moved out of the way in time. I highly doubt it. A CR-38 land mine was used, several of them in fact. They are meant to take out ARMOR, so imagine what it would do to weak body armor/human flesh. Unfortunately Lou didn't stand a chance, also it's a binding mine, which means the charge propels into the air, making it even more lethal. Not to mention that there were at least 3-4 other mines of the same type within a few feet of him, those most likely would have been ignited as well making the explosion even more deadly.

      and beat the holy hell out of him for taking away his buddy.
      If they took away my best friend
      i would have done the exact same thing.
      Hunt that guy down and beat the shit out of him.
      i'd make that person suffer in a very painful way.

    awe. When I first watched this, I was confused as to why they couldn't do it, and then I looked it up and it's nearly impossible to diffuse a landmine once it's already been stepped on:(

    • @ScruffyDTv

      Landmines go off when stepped on. Not stepped off. The click is the firing mechanism. Its just Hollywood drama added . The more you know!

    There is so much gravity when you cut the sound out. It's amazing. You'd think it wouldn't work yet it does.

    All have scenes with the silent scream. All incredibly well acted.

    Would it be better to fill up his food will cement like a cement box all the way to the top of his boot to add alot of weight then sad to say cut of his foot ? He might have live with only one foot but hey he alive

  • @ZenKatsu9870
    @ZenKatsu9870 4 дня назад +2

    Show made a mistake. The cr38 is an antipersonnel mine; russian bounding mine, not anti-tank like the show says.
    Also, landmines dont work like this in real life, where the mine only goes off when you take your foot off of it. In real life, once you step on the mine...boom. You don't get to stand there having your goodbyes with your squad/team lol. The misconception comes from the well known bouncing betty mines, but in reality, if you stepped on such a mine, your foot/leg would be flung upwards due to the mine shooting out like a mortar, which would then explode over you, showering you in shrapnel. Obviously, they do it for dramatic effect but as former military, its a little irritating to see this tired cliche.
    If the mine doesnt go off immediately upon stepping on it, it means it was either a dud (which would make you incredibly lucky) or it's actually an anti tank mine which has a double fuse, which again the show got incorrect anyways since they called the cr38 an AT mine when its actually AP. If it was an AT mine, a person stepping on it wouldnt do anything since a humans weight wouldnt apply the necessary amount of pressure of that close to the weight of a tank.

    • @NoGoodNames20
      @NoGoodNames20 Год назад

      They weren’t. Everyone on the team except spike knew it wasnt going to work. But spike was gonna try a desperate maneuver to save his friend. It’s a reason why Lou stepped off the mine. Even he knew it wasn’t gonna work. He wasn’t going to let spike try something that would get them both killed when it could just be him
