Great video! Didn't know it is not that complicated to change it until now. Do you know where this fan is located in Renault Laguna 3 and how complicated it is to change it? Thanks in advance for answer!
Hi Mladen, thank you! Cabin ventilator on laguna 3 is in a similar place like this one on laguna 2. Glove department must be removed and then you can access the ventilator. If you like we can record a video this weekend on the subject.
Hello, thanks for straight forward fixing video! My Laguna 2's a/c is not working and when engine rpm is 1600-2400 something gives a raising buzzing noise which ends at higher or lower rpm. Do you know if it is related to fan blower or some else part?
Another thing - behind the blower there is either resistive speed controller or electronic one (with two IRF44R mosfets). Resistive one usually will have melted spring fuse (overheating safety). I just soldered it back on. Some version could have thermal fuse (never saw those on Laguna 2). Electronic one can be fixed by replacing IRF44R with the same or better part. You will have to spend some time with this fix. Tip 1: remove MOSFET retainer by chopping off the aluminium - no screws there. Then drill two holes to add screws later. Steel M2 screws will create thread easily. Tip 2: desolder NTC first - it will stay in heatsink. Solder it back later when MOSFETs are replaced. Tip 3: Don't test repaired device without heatsink too long with motor attached. It will burn again and you will be pissed. Before all, check the motor by driving it directly (just add some jumper cable). You don't want to repair something that's not broken.
Thanks for the video. Found several of your videos useful as we have both Laguna 2 and 3 in our family. Is this fan a common problem? I have had three different laguna 2 and the latest one's fan just stopped working the other day, just in time for winter 😶🌫. Have never had this problem before on any of the other cars. This one is the face lift version from 2006 tho. Aside from the fan stopped working, also the flaps that regulate air flow are dead, which should point to either fuse or control unit problem. But the control unit is alive and tries to regulate fan speed and flaps, according to the display. Any thoughts on that?
Hey, thank you for watching. Glad to hear the videos are helpful. I don't think it's a common problem. It happened once in our 2005 Laguna. Not sure what the problem could be with the flaps. We made this video on flap motors in Laguna 3 a while back. ruclips.net/video/oNHvtI_8A5w/видео.html Maybe it can be of some service, But your starting theory seems on point if all of the flaps are not working. Maybe start by checking the fuse. Thanks again!
@@BbrosAuto Yes, have checked the fuses, but not sure I have found the correct ones. All that according to diagrams I found are working, both in the compartment and below the hood. Also checked the one below the ash tray. But I'm not sure if phase 2 has the same diagram layout as phase 1... Next step would be to check ALL the fuses, EVERYWHERE... 😒
Hi, thank you! Yes, you can see it in the video actually. It's the blue part next the ventilator slot on 1:38. And you can also see it on 2:37. If you'd like we can send you the photo?
Bok. Sa desne strane akumulatora nalazi se više osigurača ispod crnog poklopca i tamo je i osigurač ventilatora. Nisam točno siguran koji je od njih jer može biti razlike ovisno o modelu, ali trebao bi biti jedan od 40A.
Hello, i have a problem with climatronic display, it doesn't display anything and the ventilation doesn't start either, absolutely nothing can be seen on the screen, only the light comes on when I turn on the ignition, so it has electricity. The tape recorder also works. I checked the resistors and they are ok. I also changed the climate module, and only the bulbs light up in the climate. do you know what the problem would be?
@Beraru Valentin Hello. My guess would be also to change the whole climate control unit unit then, but if you have already done that then i really don't know. Try to browse some Renault forums, maybe you will find information that can help. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful and I hope you will solve your problem.
I think you just need to resolder some spot's on the board of ac controller, try too see if you can find it on youtube, i had a problem with it few years ago, and i fixed it by resoldering some contacts on it.
Hi Watkijk. You are right, that is not needed. That's why we said that in the begining of the video. You can hear it on 0:15. We just did it so everybody can see it better in the video. On 1:05 we show and say what is the only thing you need to remove to get to the blower fan. We try to make our videos in a way that it is plain to see what we are doing and show that everybody can do it on their own. We just hope it helps people. Thank you for watching!
Thanks to this video, I now have a heater working for winter.
Thank you
That's awesome! Thanks for watching. What kind of Laguna you have? We still miss ours :)
Thank you! You saved my day!!!
Thank you for watching and for your kind words! Glad it was helpful.
Thanks for this video. Where is the place of resistance of this ventilator please? Thank you!
