I love this! I’m going to order my balloon storage
Great tips can’t wait for glassware storage
Blessings 💙❤️🤍
Can you please do a video about how you grew your inventory! This is goals
Yes boo, I will put it on the topic list! ❤
Yay thank you!!
Thank you hun this helped !!! Definitely balloons are the struggle!! Hahah this looks like it will work!
Of course! I definitely prefer this to all the little balloon baggies piling up and balloons falling out lol You can color coordinate them too to see what you have as well, and make storage a little prettier. ❤
Thanks great video
Awesome work thank you for the tips
Thank you for watching! ❤
Those balloon tips are fantastic!
Thanks so much! 💕
I loved these organizing ideas! I need to store my linens and glass
Thanks Tammie! Omg girl linens and glass storage are the worst 🤦🏽♀️..I got so tired of storing linens that I decided to stop doing draped backdrops and only use stretch table covers lol…but I know some folks can’t get out of it because of their niche. Glass I either use the bigger bins and try to use the leftover Amazon air bubbles they always send in my packages to keep from touching without adding weight. Or I prefer to store them on the shelf because it looks pretty too, but then you know you they can get really dusty that way and fall if you bump into it, that’s the only downfall. What’s your preferred way to store?
Excelentes vídeos, thanks to put time on and share knowledge!!
Thank you so much for watching, I appreciate you taking the time! ❤
This content.. *chefs kiss*
Thanks hun! ❤
I was JUST wondering about balloon storage, that's a great idea
If you’re looking for an inexpensive storage then this is the way to go, they make these containers in larger sizes as well. These are just the ones I had on hand from using for crafts.
However, you can always upgrade and get similar containers made out of sturdier material if you are have a little more to spend. 💕😊
Can you do a video of how to store party supplies like paper plates, utensils table cloths, party favors etc. Thanks!
Thanks SOooooo Much for alot of the information. I started the party planning business a year ago after my late mom passed it was her business. I regret sooo much because i never care to watch her as she was doing events and now its like i have all the stuff to open a business but i dont know anything about it. I came across your page and it has taught me sooo much i am forever grateful for you 🙏🏽🙏🏽 i reach out to soooo many planners asking for mentors even i will work for them for free just to learn and they all ignored my cry for help. May the Good LORD continue to bless you in your business and life. GOD bless and THANKYOU 💕🙂🙏🏽
I’m sorry to hear about your mom passing, my condolences. It is nice to hear that in her passing she was able to bless you with such a special gift to go forward with in life. I know what you mean, but the beauty in it is now you get to create the business through your own eyes, completely reflecting your ideas and vision in honor for your mother. That’s exciting!....I am happy you found my channel too. I know many planners can be tight lipped. I think most are just afraid that they’ll create more competition for themselves by teaching those around them or feel they didn’t get a helping hand coming up, so are hesitant to give one out in return. But there is enough money out here for everyone! I receive all those blessings sis 🙌🏼🙌🏼, and sendin them back your way...Just keep at, God will work it all out, and continue to do your research and practice! You got this! 💕
First time watching you and love your vibe!!! Also, I’m rocking out with that balloon storage tip!! 🙌🏼
Thank you Marisol!! Appreciate you being here 🤗 Are you going into party planning or balloon business?
This was helpful. Thanks
Your welcome hun! 💕
Loved the video! Where did you get the circular wire backdrop?
Very good organised
Thanks!
Would appreciate storage suggestions for chargers, plates, glasses and cutlery.
Thank you very much!
Omgawwwwwwd yaaaaas! So extremely helpful and such great tips! Btw I appreciate how real you are on your videos!!! Your work and dedication is so inspiring! Where are some more videos?! Can I request more organizing tip , and behind the scene videos please! They are so helpful! And more info on your course you mentioned you will be hosting online!!!!!!
Thanks love! I appreciate you appreciating! 😘 Yes, more organizing tips is on the list for sure. That's getting highly requested, I'll start a playlist for it on the next upload. More behind the scenes, gotcha....and yes course and more materials coming soon!
Miss Event Planner so excited! Thank you!
Hey,I liked the idea of balloon storage and central decor stand which you showed in the beginning of video
Glad you liked it, thanks so much for watching! 💕
Love the tips! So before you got your office was your house/apartment a huge disaster all the time? b/ mind is and those totes are so expensive lol
I’m struggling on how to store charger plates. Would be great to have some tips. Thanks.
Ooo that’s a good one! I usually keep them in the larger bins, but I don’t think that’s the best solution as the space isn’t used well, I’ll be on the hunt for a better storage method. 💕
I want to start event decorating, but I’m so nervous. Please do a video on how to land your first clients when you don’t have a portfolio. TIA
I know the feeling, but if you give into your fears you'll never start and thus will never succeed. I like those memes that say something like..."People far less talented than you are making moves and more money, all because they believe in themselves more than you do." You gotta just shake it off and take a leap of faith. If you fail the first time it'll only teach you what not to do next time and make you thicker skinned. I have a few videos on those subjects here! How to start Event Portfolio with no clients: ruclips.net/video/tuMJ5e3BjlY/видео.html ......How to book clients with no money/portfolio: ruclips.net/video/uZcfZ_wtugg/видео.html You got this mama! ❤
Trying to come up with a ideas for my client to display samples of items when a client comes into office. She wants them to be able to see place settings, decorated vases, etc. Any advise you can provide?
Thank you so much for doing this video-MUCH needed!
Would you mind sharing your Event Planner's planner? Or-maybe your method in how you you document scheduling and booking?
You are very welcome! Yes, I think I can put something like that on the list to see kind of how I go about scheduling. I'm very old school when it comes to planning. I like things written down. Lists and sheets. I don't prefer using my phone for reminders and all that. Here is my client booking tracker I created to organize my bookings: www.etsy.com/MissEventPlanner/listing/607719296/event-planner-client-booking-tracker?Copy&ListingManager&Share&.lmsm&share_time=1566331598018
I make sure to input it into my calendar right away and record everything in my tracker to have that information on hand at all time so you don't have to rifle through your email to find important information!
@@BashBesties yesss!!! I'm the same way! I'm just awful at being consistent with it. I think seeing you in action will help push me, mainly because we do the same type of work. I swear God sent you to help me. You are such a blessing.
Definitely glassware. But I do a lot of customized centerpieces. What to do with leftover/multiple decor items!
I like to display my glassware on shelves, but it can be an unsafe method of storage sometimes. I find it just doesn't store well in bins and boxes properly. If it's super fragile I just keep it in it's original shipping packaging because it'll usually have that custom styrofoam around it. I keep leftover decor because I'm a party supply hoarder and always feel I may one day be able to use it 😩...but you can't keep everything as you know. So try to only keep what you can and will actually reuse. If you can get use out of it or rent it again to another one of your clients keep it, if not I'd say try to get some money back. Keep receipts and return extras or try to resale. People will buy leftover party supplies and themes, especially on Craigslist and Facebook groups. At the very least just take the time at least once a year to go in and get rid of dated decor or things that honestly get no use. I'm in the process of doing it right now. 😩😂
That’s very helpful! Yes I need just try to resale. Thus far I have not done a theme twice....but I think that I will so I keep things..thank you for answering!
I need help organizing tablecloths, chaircovers, sashes and runners
Hello I have subscribed you from where we can buy fabric for back drop?
New subscriber!
Thanks hun, glad to have you as part of the family! 💕
What did you buy first, at the very beginning of you opening your business for decor, vases, flowers, backdrops?
I am trying to figure out what to buy first to start building inventory.
Hello, I have a question about storing boxwood the square green grass backdrop. I have 12 large squares and need advice on how to store them.
Hello Terri, I like to keep longer panels constructed (about 3 panels put together with zip ties) and then fold them like an accordion and put them back in the box they came in.
Storing glass ware
Yaaaas! That balloon storage is great! O.o Would you recommend something different for foil balloons though?
Thank you! Yes, I’d just go with a flat storage for those like a regular plastic bin, labeled “specialty” foil. I don’t carry many of those on hand, I usually purchase them on occasion and use them up for the event. I’d just make sure to write on it’s packaging where they were purchased from to be sure if you happen to use them again later and need to buy more. 💕
Love this video! Linen is my headache! Please help!
Oh gosh I know right!! Linens are so frustrating 🤦🏽♀️ you have to hang them all on racks so it can take up a lot of space on storage. I’ve moved to spandex and one time use. They’re just too much work for me to recycle right now 😩
Great video! But where did You get your BEVERAGE DISPENSER??? They are really nice.
Thank you! The top plastic portion was from Michaels. The bottom portion that’s tin is from Walmart 💕
Hi Miss Event Planner, I just subscribed to your channel and I have watched a lot of your videos. I'm an starting my event planning business relatively soon. I'm an organizer and I defineteley appreciated the Balloon Storage idea what a great way to store ballons (I dislike bags). I currently have a small storage unit that I rent for this purpose. My questions would be, do I have to upgrade to a bigger one eventually and what size do you recommend? What would be an ideal workplace and storage solution? I live in a small studio currently. Thanks for all the info! Keep up the great work!
Hello there!! Thanks so much for supporting the channel and congratulations on starting your business!!..I don’t like the bags either. Plastic or mason jars are my preference.
I would only suggest upgrading if you absolutely need it. The bigger your space gets the more you tend to accumulate to fill it. I have an office space now which I use as storage too. I believe it’s about 400/500sq ft I think. (I’m not great with eyeballing measurements lol)...I think the amount of space you ideally need depends on what type of work you’ll be doing. If you’re purely a planner and have no need for much decor storage I would just operate right out of your studio or with a small affordable storage to keep your expenses down. If you’re going into being an event decorator you are going to accumulate a loooooooot of stuff, in which case you’ll see that your storage needs will outgrow itself in time. I’d recommend purchasing nicer products like stands, cake plinths.. that can be used for all types of events to get the most out do your inventory. So you’ll really just have to see what works well for your needs, but my ideal storage is one that has an office space included so I can leave my work at work for the most part. 😊
@@BashBesties Thank you for responding to my question! :)
@@lynndenisekinnally7213 Of course! :)
Costs efficient storage solutions! Starting out and I neeeed bins & stuff...but it can be a bit pricey. Do I just charge it to the game? Or is there away to get more storage solutions for less?
Yes, you need sooooo many dang bins! lol ...It definitely starts to add up quick. I pick up a little at a time, 3-4 here and there and like you said just chalk it up as business expenses. You're gonna need them. Try to get the bins though when they're on clearance, especially around "Spring" cleaning or holidays. The seasonal colored ones always go on sale when the seasons over. Red and green, after Christmas, orange after fall. I prefer the gray or pink ones though, but if they are super discounted of course I'll buy them no matter what. Ordering them in bulk on Walmart can sometimes give you a small discount, but in the end you'll end up with hundreds of dollars worth of bins no matter what unfortunately.
Hey chica, love you videos! do you rent your office space? and whats they best way to find an office space
Yes I do! I would say Craigslist and Loopnet are great websites for finding office space! You can also look through local realtors website to see the listing they’re managing. 💕
@@BashBesties thank you!
I hope I could start my business
You can hun, just keep working on it! 💕
Thanks! I did a video organizing video on my channel, and the room is the same again 😱😭🤣😂🤣
I have a problem with organizing my serving ware items. I have totes and totes that aren’t full but I cant get anything else in the tote. ❤️
Hmmm, serveware can be so hard. Plates/chargers I’d wash dry and saranwrap and stack rather than put them in the totes. Glassware is hard I store that on a shelf as well but you have to be careful and it can get dusty. I like being able to see mine, but you can wrap it and put it in a tote or box to keep it safe if you don’t use it as often. Silverware you can store in the smaller plastic containers or upright utensils holders with separate slots and keep them covered. The big totes are good because they hold a lot of stuff but oddly shaped items don’t utilize the totes to their full capacity.
My balloons are in one of those plastic drawer but would of only be better broken down more . I’m thinking I need a list I have have in apt an half in storage 💁🏾♀️
Omg I totally understand. Before I had my office the inventory and supplies were taking over the garage. We just moved into a smaller apartment with no garage at all and I’m so so thankful for the office storage because I don’t know how I’d make it work with this space and keep it organized 🤦🏽♀️ I do like to have more broken down storage too but it can be hard since you know planners/designers tend to have so much bulk of each item. I really like the mason jars style for the balloons storage but it can get pricey, plastic containers are a cheaper option if you’re not ready to buy $200 worth of glass jars just yet 😂
I never heard of the mason jar but when I tell u I can’t get in the door right now an I have a storage . But we’ll now a new chapter in my life has started I lost my job if 14.5 years . As of Friday so I’m trying to get this place together it’s a 1 bedroom girl omg my other son lost his job now both my sons an myself here it’s crazy but thank gosh we are all ok 👍🏽
Miss Event Planner also I sent some pics to you never replied
What do you do to avoid the wrinkles in tablecloths?
You’re supposed to hang them, which I did previously and it helped. But they take up a lot of space when you start to accumulate more stock. I stopped using regular tablecloths awhile back because they’re such a hassle to care for and I don’t have the storage space for it. Plus, trying to re-steam at the event is time consuming and a headache. If I need to use them now I only use spandex or rent from a linen company. Also, with the trend of using nicer tables that don’t need table covers over the years being so popular..I prefer that approach for the ease and because it gives a more modern look.
Because you can have an incredibly beautiful party setup and all the work and pictures ruined by literally just those damn wrinkled tablecloths. 😵💫
good nihgt where where can purses table that reasonble I just started please
Hello, what type of tables are you interested in buying?
@@BashBesties sorry its table cloth
What is the square footage for your office/storage
Hi, I would say maybe 400-500 sq ft.
How do you store your backdrops?
Hi Angelica, I try to keep my backdrops put together as much as possible during storage, so when it’s time to use them I don’t have to keep putting them back together from square one. So wood backdrops I just store wherever I have the space. Some lighter backdrops I keep put together and held up on an extra backdrop stand. And some I fold down or roll up and put back in the box it came packaged in. 💖
Hopefully you see my comment 🌸:
I’m actually an event planner for start up natural hair care companies. My mission is to help curly bosses plan their launch event.
My question is , what am I suppose to come out of pocket for their events ? What supplies do you think would be necessary to have on hand ? P.s I’m new to event planning and I love your channel
Hello, that’s a very nice niche! You shouldn’t be coming out of pocket for anything for their event. You must charge a deposit or set up a payment plan that gives you the necessary funds to make purchases for their events. Never float a party on your own funds. For you depends on if you’re planning or decorating. If planning really nothing but your marketing materials. For decorating cake stands, backdrop stand, backdrop drapes, a few neutral colored spandex tablecloths, not much really until you get your paid events. Sometimes we think we need more than we do because we get caught up in the pictures we see. You may need to do a mock shoot or two to get photos of what you can do and may need to purchase out of pocket for that, but for every event after that your purchases should come from the clients budget and deposit....Thanks so much for watching and I wish you all the best in your new business venture! 💕
Thank you 😊
How to store my glass candy dishes
That’s a good one! I love displaying items like that, but they have a tendency to break so I know the struggle. I’ll put it on the list for the next video! 💕
I need to purchase a She Shed, because I literally have no storage space inside my house.😩
Omg yes I believe it! I don’t think when you start in this business you ever realize how much stuff you are going to acquire over time 🤦🏽♀️...I had to get an office storage space, but I told myself I’m not going to get anything bigger for storage than what I have now, so if I get more stuff I got to purge some old inventory.
Need your help pls x
You left out the link for the balloon containers in the description
I’ll repost it, I remember inputting it, but guess it didn’t save. Give me a sec! 🙏🏼
@@BashBesties thanks alot!
It is real 😢I do understand
Right! and as soon as you get it organized and how you like it..couple more months and it's time to rearrange again! I've now been focused on not holding onto small things in inventory and trying to purge to make room for larger items that are easier to store.
Mem super mem really iam so happy by watching this please send me your RUclips videos please tq tq for this
Love your channel, but the music, not so much. It's distracting and annoying, can't hear you vey well.
Thanks for your input Connie. I think “distracting” would have been sufficient to get your point across, but adding in the word “annoying” is quite rude wouldn’t you say 😉
