- Today’s feature has to be the only artist I’ve ever heard of to have their debut album shipped to a clothing store for purchase. That store, Hot Topic, an alternative punk, rock and pop music inspired clothing brand and store, that is aimed towards an audience interested in rock music and video gaming. If none of that makes sense, then in just the opening lines you understand the story of rapper Kreayshawn, because that’s exactly what her rap career ended up being, an adventure that 90% of the time didn’t make any sense. In 2011 she somehow found herself dead center of the most popular genre in music to date, with her viral hit song “Gucci Gucci”. But just as fast as Kreayshawn blew up, the air in her ballon screamed out and she was lost in the shuffle of the fast moving last decade of hip hop music. Her viral hit Gucci Gucci released June 2011, by 2012 her Hot Topic released debut album flopped selling under 4000 copies and from there she faded to the background, even still owing her own label almost a million dollars. Ultimately what did her in was her association with V Nasty and refusing to put her in the background. Folks were NOT trying to hear a white girl boldly say "nigga" in songs and interviews.. Which is funny because V ended up turning on her and dissing her in interivews.

Kreayshawn was ahead of her time with that wack song Gucci Gucci. Then, she formed White Girl Mob with Lil Debbie and V-Nasty. Only to make matters worse, all of them girls turned on her while she was popping. V-Nasty turned on her and start dissing her in interviews. Debbie did the same thing by turned on her and V-Nasty too.
She jacked the majority of her rap style from Lil B.

To be all the way 💯, the whole White Girl Mob thing came off as a gimmick. People weren’t really feeling that. And they literally tried the get the black co-signing and that still couldn’t launch their brand. Kreayshaun had help from the label to get Gucci and 2 chains, V-Nasty only really got local co-signers and Mista Fab and Debbie used all black dancers for her Ratchet video, none of that helped them out. They didn’t come off as authentic, just 3 female versions of B-Rad 🤷🏾♂️

Even given people an opportunity to hop on to get some of this buzz to help them out. And sadly that did not work out for her. Even with having Gucci Mane as artist and having Zaytoven producing, end up working in Gucci Mane’s favor and not hers

There’s an artist named Kreayfish that did a parody of her song Gucci Gucci. It was called Fishy Fishy. It’s kinda dope, not gonna lie. Funny as hell too.

She was only making a little buzz on YT outside of the Bay but it definitely came off like a gimmick that was gonna fade fast.
