I'm a massive fan of hers. Loved both of her albums, but I agree she should be a lot bigger than she is right now. Her laid back image is a vibe and set the tone for the R&B wave that blew up in the late 2010s. But she is not releasing nearly enough music to stay at the top of the game. She doesnt necassarily have to release more projects, but at least get on some features, do interviews, podcasts stay out there and maintain that R&B Princess title that was given so early on.

She took to long to release her 2nd album and didn’t keep momentum going. Sza released ctrl in 2016 and took years to release sos but she was featuring on other popular artists songs & interacted with people building a fan base on social media. She also released singles from sos and promoted them well and made the era last long. Ella and her team had a great rise but she took her foot off the peddle when she could’ve continued to ride the wave. She still however did accomplish great things with her first album that other artists dream of accomplishing so still kudos to her!

The problem is the white pop star can be oversaturated with paint by numbers girls. Black r&b artists unfortunately as talented as they are doesnt have that luxury. And im starting to think people dont care about full bodies of work. Singles and tik tock sessions rule and that stinks. I'm a massive fan of hers. Loved both of her albums, but I agree she should be a lot bigger than she is right now. Her laid back image is a vibe and set the tone for the R&B wave that blew up in the late 2010s. But she is not releasing nearly enough music to stay at the top of the game. She doesnt necassarily have to release more projects, but at least get on some features, do interviews, podcasts stay out there and maintain that R&B Princess title that was given so early on.
You know yea she doesn’t shake and expose her body, and this “will hurt her right now” I think this will benefit her extremely well in the long term if she continues her career but she HAS to continue for it to benefit her in the long run.
