amazing review man, thank you. My only concern, the leather will peal by time, or is it good leather quality ? I know its resistant leather, but Im clueless when it comes to these things.
Can I ask you about your height and measurements? I want to buy the 50 cal and I don't know whether to buy size S or M. In Alpinestars do I use size M. EngineHawk similar size, bigger or smaller? Thanks.
I’ve had 3 or 4 alpinestars jackets and they were all mediums. I ordered a medium in the 50 cal and it fits great. If you go by the size chart on Enginehawks website you should be good! Im 5’8” around 170lbs if that helps, but a friend of mine that is 6’1” and weighs around 140lbs fits it well too so I’d definitely go by the size chart on their site. Good luck! Thanks for the support!
Probably not, this jacket has been specifically designed for protection and due to the weight it’s not something you’d really want to wear long term as just a fashion piece. It’s definitely a stylish jacket but if you’ve ever picked up a proper motorcycle jacket you’ll know it is a lot heavier than something that’s just made for looks. Hope that helps.
you can take the armor out and wear it as a normal jacket. i have the predator evo and it is heavy but that has a big collar and hood as well as armor.
Style wise they’re not #1. That title 100% goes to Merlin. I have several Merlin. The one piece of material I really do like, and bought is the armored hoodie. The quality is great, and have no complaints about it. I think it’s the Enginehawk logo that turns me away from this jacket. It’s the reason I shy away from most Dainese, and alpinestars jackets, and suits. Although I do have a few of theirs as well, but the stealth stuff. I don’t mind the logo themselves, but I don’t like when they have Dainese, or Alpinestars written on them. They’re not paying me to advertise their gear 🤷♂️.
