I just realized that the song itself tells a story without any need for words. It starts off upbeat, sounding confident, which is how Kirishima carries himself normally. Then it blends into a calmer, more somber tune befitting of his fear and inability to act. Just when it hits the crescendo of that part, it cuts into the heroic end that we all love so much, representing Kirishima conquering his fear and doing what needs to be done. Becoming not just a hero, but THE hero known as Red Riot
Kirishima has always been my favorite, (don’t get me wrong, I love all the characters), but I hate that I can never find enough mercy of him 😂😂😂 Kinda infuriates me when I can only ever find figures and shirts of the other characters lol

True! He had such a simple quirk and was always played by the laugh, but I love how this arc with Red Riot and Lemillion really hammered in the fact that through training and effort even the less flashy and "lame" quirks can be a force to be reckoned with.

1:10 when those those trumpets kick in it reminds me of Captain America and alike both he and Kirishima are. Manly men that want to make a difference not toxic never taking advantage of another soul but standing up for what is all that is just. Cap has his shield and resolve Kirishima has his hardening skin.

His unbreakable form is very poetic. Standing still in the face of danger was once his defining act of cowardice that he needs to move past - but now he's turned standing still into his ultimate act of heroism

I think that's something about his quirk I really like, it's driven by his willpower more than anything else. He even says himself it's not flashy compared to the others and its best use is simply to bulldoze whatever comes head-on.

Imagine Kirishima's quirk awakens and it hardens his skin to something like diamond that would be ironic since the guy who though he didn't have a flashy quirk gets one of the flashiest quirk
I imagine, if his quirk does get an awakening, it will be more along the lines of being able to harden things other than his own body. Like reinforcing a wall or car or even a sword or something. Of course my understanding is that not all quirks awaken. It only happens in a quirk that is somehow suppressed in some way. Like a quirk that isn't fully formed or there is a mental block as is the case with a certain villain that I wont mention because of spoilers. But I only watch the anime and read bits and pieces online so I don't know much about awakened quirks or if they have even been explained in depth that much. But I think it might be cool to power up Kirishima's quirk a bit along with a few others in order to give them their own spot light like they did in the fight against the Yakuza. Move into a more generation of symbol's of peace rather than one main figure as an evolution of All Might's way of doing things. Awakening might be a way to do that for some of the characters but it would need to be used sparingly or it would lose impact. I hope the series continues with a variety of power ups for the less impressive characters and doesn't just regulate them to side characters to focus on just Deku, Bakugo and maybe 2 or 3 others. I loved DB and DBZ up until after Frieza for many reasons, but one of those reasons was how less and less of the cast actually mattered(something that was somewhat fixed in Super but it was a bit too little too late for me). MHA has a great cast and I hope they give them all as much love as they can and the Yakuza arc gave me hope that they will. :D

I think it’s much more plausible now that his quirk could awaken due to recent events in the manga which I won’t give details on because of spoilers. He has got a lot of screen time now though to be fair, but honestly I really like his character, so that doesn’t matter too much to me.

I dig designs that look villainous and threatening but belong to heroes. Such appearances are how you can tell that these are heroes you don't mess with.

kirishima is my favorite character in the show...yeah i like mydoriya and bakugo as well...but kirishima...the guy trained his quirk, a quirk that without training would be nothing , the others have unique quirks and stong ones, he trained and trained and now he has one of the strongest quirks in the class and even in the show, he acknowledges his mistakes that he did in the pass, he sacrificed him self...the guy is just a fenomenal character...and he deserves more history in the shown

Kirishima is my Hero, and I know that sounds cliche and sappy, but he is the epitome of Heroism; he recognizes and addresses his Mistakes and shortcomings, he perseveres even when the odds are stacked against him, he's respectful, he's loyal, and even when he didn't believe in himself, he picked himself up and became, even at his own detriment, a Hero who can protect people. He's Manly in a way that isn't negative or toxic. He wants to better himself and live without regret. Eijirou Kirishima is My Hero, and this is why.
Kirishima's unbreakable form wasn't his minute long ultimate hardness, but his broken body still standing up against a much stronger foe while his body kept crumbling.
