Hey i just ordered a knob from their website... I entered all my info and paid via paypal i was just wondering if in your experience they sent out an order confirmation or something since they didn't send me anything
I ordered thru Ebay, so I got emails and tracking from Ebay. I can't speak for the website order experience. But you should reach out to them and confirm.
Did this work with the fifth gear guide? I am thinking of something similar but when I removed the sliding part that acts as the reverse gate it becomes difficult to get into fifth gear. There is nothing to keep you from going too far to the right and missing it.

Nice work! Have you thought about uploading tutorials (or maybe even just links to your videos) on SaabCentral? I bet plenty of people there would appreciate these, especially the Saab specific content. Plus comments and discussions are usually a little better there than RUclips lol. Also, I'm curious about a couple things. Could you have drilled the shift knob put to fit instead of cutting it? And also, how does the reverse gear engagement work now that you don't seem to have the plastic ring that you'd normally pull up on, I guess there's no reverse lock anymore?
I definitely could have drilled the shift knob to fit the rod but it would still be way too tall IMO. If it is too high, the shift boot will come off when you put it in gear because the boot is too short. To have it sit nice and low, the only option was to cut the rod. And you are correct, no more reverse pull up mechanism. You still need to put it in reverse to take the key out though. And good call about saabcentral. Already ahead of ya :) I used to spend way to much time on there a long time ago. It is sad that not many people know about it. Guys, I'm happy to report that even after 1 year so far, the shift knob looks brand new! Just sayin' :)

Right, it does eliminate that guide. I've learned to go straight up diagonally from fourth and I get it every time.

Looks good but the reverse lockout is something you should keep because it also lowers shifter play while in gear
