- Parsnips are a brilliant crop that will stand in the ground over winter and provide food over a long period. The seeds can be quite slow to germinate, but in this video we demonstrate and discuss our method of planting parsnip seeds in toilet rolls and transplanting them out to grow on.

Had varied success with parsnips in the past, but will now try your toilet roll trick which I think will ensure better results. Thanks.
Good luck!

As long as you can get them going they are an easy crop to grow :)
Morning hope your both doing well. My parsnips were grown in a mahoosive pot last year because I didn’t have room in a bed. Sadly they were an ok size but very woody for whatever reason. I have not done any this year and may give it a miss as I’m the only one that likes them. Thank you for sharing stay safe 🇨🇦🐝👍
Try gladiator we have found they can go really big though going woody!
