Also, how many 1 inch layers of kitchen scraps do you put into the bokashi composter before you leave it for the 2-3 weeks?

    I am assuming the vegetables scraps that we put can be wet( vegetables washed before cooking) or should they be left out to dry a bit before putting in the bokakshi bin? Also for a continuous process do we need to have 2(sets) of the bins because what ever goes in has to be fermented for atleast 2 weeks?

    • @AliRajaBagan
      @AliRajaBagan  2 года назад +1

      Collect your kitchen waste as they are and put in the compost bin ones a day. 2 composting bin will be perfect.

    Not this method, I think there is another method of composting & that's also do not produce any smell.
    METHOD
    1. Get a plastic bin like container with lids and make small holes at the bottom and sides.
    2. The. rip off smal paper card board and lay at the bottom layer.
    3. Then break small sticks and lay above the card board layer.
    4. The lay some fallen dried leaves on the stick layer.
    That's your BROWN & CARBON part done.
    5. Then put all your kitchen VEGETABLE waste.
    6. Then add small layer of soil with some normal earth worms and pour water on it and make it moist. Close the lid. This every few days try to add more kitchen waste on it.
    You will have SMELL FREE COMPOST soon.
    NEVER put FISH, MEAT or DAIRY products in it, because that will welcome flies, maggot, also become very smelly.
    Also do not put too much CITROUS food waste like Lemon, Orange, as this will make it acidic and slow the process.
